Well, they could be honest with the exception that they are not admitting that they are living with the father of their children. If they did then they probably wouldn't be eligible because they would have to count the father's income. Also, I read an accusation somewhere that when they go to apply for welfare, that wife #1 can't apply. So when wife #2 goes to apply, she applies for her children and the children of wife #1. And the reason that welfare doesn't establish paternity for the children is because the women announce they don't know the name of the person they slept with. A ridiculous story agreed, but you cannot force someone to tell something they say they don't know.

Also she can claim monies for someone who watches her children, so she can claim one or more of the wives as her child care.

Did you happen to see the lady on TV this morning - she had reddish curly/wavy hair? I didn't catch her name. The way she tilted her head to the side when she spoke in monotone was very disturbing to me. Like she was programmed. It was disgusting.

After seeing some of them talking on TV this morning, I'm afraid there isn't much hope. This case truly makes me sick to my stomach.

Did you happen to see the lady on TV this morning - she had reddish curly/wavy hair? I didn't catch her name. The way she tilted her head to the side when she spoke in monotone was very disturbing to me. Like she was programmed. It was disgusting.

Those are probably the ones returning to the ranch, who have been brainwashed to believe in this "lifestyle" and to lie to outsiders. It is kinda like a real life Stepford Wives. One woman I read quoted, said her whole life was her children- that I don't doubt since they aren't allowed an education, to hold jobs beyond housework, and to think for themselves. These women are treated as chattel- their bodies are the mens properties.:sick:

I read my husband the riot act just for my name not being on the car insurance and trying to eliminate my business off of our taxes!

Yes, but their "whole life is the man to whom they were a)married to or b)spiritually married to." The children are secondary.

Someone would surely recognize her voice. Even if she is safe, one of the methods of keeping control is threatening loved ones.

The evidence list has material referencing Sara/Sarah Jessop. There's students lists, birth records, marriage records, and a lot of pictures.

I think LE may use these records to determine who the girl is, and if there's a picture of her among the pictures confiscated, they'll be showing that picture to the older children.

I'm very curious and hopeful that those women who chose not to go back to the YFZ ranch, and instead went to another safe location, are young women who want to leave the FLDS. If they do want to leave the FLDS, these women could be very helpful in identifying Sarah. Now that they're segregated from the older women who may have intimidated them into not talking, they may feel comfortable in talking. They may have a lot to say!

I do wonder how the mothers that came back will be treated. I would imagine they will be given the third degree on what they've told, etc. I also wonder if perhaps they'd be sent to other compounds - perhaps in Utah or AZ and new women would be sent to Tx?
