I have a suspicion that Sarah who made that call will not be found. It would be great to find her, but it isn't necessary to prosecute the inhabitants of Eldorado. Authorities have said Sarah's call came from hundreds of miles away, and she did not know where she was.

I hope you're right! But I do wish they could find her just to make sure she's ok now. If she's still with FLDS, chances are she's not ok.

Wow. That makes it even scarier! How can this possibly be allowed to continue? Sexual abuse, welfare fraud, child abuse, etc. LE have closed their eyes to this for far too long.

I signed. I am Ms. Go Texas Justice. Yeah, I know mine is not exactly what they were looking for.

I highly doubt this pettion will be filed, but when you sign a petition they don't read comments, so if you sign it they count it for the petition. But like I said I highly doubt this pettion will be taken in to account

This may very well be true, but they're not all FLDS. I saw a woman on Oprah last week attempting to "explain" the lifestyle. She appeared to be your typical soccer mom and said she willingly chose this way of life. She was definitely not FLDS as she was not wearing "pioneer" type clothing and she lived in the burbs. She also mentioned that her little sister was one of her sister wives. Seriously, who in their right mind, would buy into this? Your little sister? Ewwwww.

I don't recall seeing this, either! Are you referring to the calls she placed to the Domestic Violence Hotline on March 29 and 30? I wonder if those calls are saved through the 911 system, in case the caller is in immediate danger?

Are you serious? Dang! I wonder if they got the message or figured that the other mums would take their kids back to the ranch?

J.

If this is true, I'm very disappointed. I had great hope that these 6 women would provide authorities with evidence of abuse and be able to tell authorities about Sarah.

I don't know if we can trust the source of the information. It's the attorney for the FLDS, who stated that he's not a member of the FLDS, just an attorney. But, I don't think we can trust anyone who is either FLDS or associated with them. Warren Jeffs has stated that lying is ok if you lie to your enemies. For all we know, that attorney is FLDS and is part of the groups propaganda campaign.

I'm not sure, but I would assume so. If they do know where Sarah is, I would think they would want to keep that information to themselves for now. I would also assume she is in need of protection. That call has threatened their entire way of life. If they believe her testimony is what will sew it up, they will take action against her. This is why I'm so hopeful they have enough evidence to stop it without Sarah. Do you honestly believe the men in charge here would let their sweet deal slip away without a fight?

As I said, I guarantee this attorney is FLDS. In the larger FLDS communities, all law enforcement and "elected" officials are FLDS. There is no way these people could have survived all these years otherwise. If we're lucky, one of those 6 women will be honest about what's happening in these communities. As we have seen, it just takes one....

Thanks, Ladybass. Interesting. And this is what Texas Law Enforcement has stated, not the FLDS, do I understand that correctly?

That is an interesting scenario, Leila. Is the compound in Bountiful, BC FLDS? Does this sect also have a compound in Mexico? If Sarah was taken out of the country, there would be records of the women returning.

I am hopeful that Sarah is with the 18 pregnant girls who were placed immediately into temporary foster care. If she is still being held by the cult, I am afraid she is in grave danger.

CNN interviewed the leader of the Bountiful, BC FLDS community. The leader is Blackburn who said he had a falling out with Warren Jeffs in regards to Jeff's tight control. He said this led to a split. But he's sympathetic to the YFZ people because of what's happened. A women was also interviewed and she spoke clearly and with conviction, completely different than what we've heard from the women of the YFZ ranch. She was dressed in normal clothing, but pictures of the Bountiful community showed women dressed in the pioneer dress and some in regular clothing. Blackburn had the reporter ride a horse and took him on a tour of the Bountiful ranch. My impression was that the Bountiful comminity is far more casually run.

There is a FLDS compound in Mexico, one in South Dakota, one in Colorado, one in Nevada, in addition to the two largest - Colorado City, AZ and Hildale, UT.

I think the authorities could check with border crossings and find out if the women crossed either the U.S.- Canadian border, or the U.S. - Mexican border.

Cnn is reporting that "authorities" are saying this. But I dunno what that really means.

I guarantee this attorney is FLDS and he's not being truthful about these women.

The bottom line is, under any other circumstances, if a child or children are removed from their home where any kind of abuse is suspected, the mothers would NOT be tagging along. We either have specific laws that should be followed or we don't. I saw some of the FLDS "mothers" on the news (national) tonight. These are the same women who hide behind walls under any other circumstances. Whining about how they don't know what's happening and they just want their children back. Trust me, this is their PR campaign designed to cause the American public to stand up and insist the children be returned to their families. They have been trained to do what they are doing now.

I agree............it's all a propaganda campaign.

I suppose it won't matter what group they belong to, the polygamists will surely stick together in this. Of course, that will add to their numbers, but it still doesn't make what they're doing right. I'm sure there are more drug dealers than polygamists, but that doesn't stop LE from going after them and our courts from prosecuting them.
