Dark blue and "dark" fibers were found. The dark blue fibers were said to be consistent with cotton towel material. The "dark" fibers were matched to the sweater John wore that night. This excludes the velvet pants as having been the garment the "dark" fibers were shed from.

I don't believe JBR was walking around in size 12 underpants. She literally wouldn't be able to walk in underpants that could be pulled up to her armpits and they'd have been obvious under velvet pants because they'd be bulky. Patsy said she didn't notice anything.
My bad,
The only location in which we know that the black wool fibers were found was in the underwear. There were blue cotton fibers found on different locations on her and her clothing, including within the folds of the labia, but I don't think there's any evidence that these are the same as the black wool fibers referred to by Levin in John's 2000 police interview.

From the legal secretary's notes: "During the vaginal examination, small dark colored fibers were found on JonBenet’s external labia."

Prosecutor, Bruce Levin, speaking to Lin Wood and Patsy (2000): I understand your position. In addition to those questions, there are some others that I would like you to think about whether or not we can have Mrs. Ramsey perhaps in the future answer. I understand you are advising her not to today, and those are there are black fibers that, according to our testing that was conducted, that match one of the two shirts that was provided to us by the Ramseys, [John's] black shirt. Those are located in the underpants of JonBenet Ramsey, were found in her crotch area, and I believe those are two other areas that we have intended to ask Mrs. Ramsey about if she could help us in explaining their presence in those locations.

Back to the legal secretary's notes: "Dr. Meyer stated that it appeared that JonBenet’s pubic area may have been cleaned, or at least wiped by someone using a towel or piece of clothing. Small dark blue fibers, consistent with a cotton towel, were recovered from the vaginal area."

So the blue fibers were shed from material used to wipe blood out of the vaginal area. That leaves the "dark" fibers, matched to John's sweater found in the external labia.
