I believe the relevance of the observation is wrt SB having been smiled at by whomever Tim left with, not whether the devil or evil is a "he" or an "it".

"As you know, I watched my husband drive away just after 9 o'clock on Monday night," she said. "He smiled at me and said he'd be right back. And I have not seen him since."
It was actually Tim who smiled at his wife that night. The oft-cited "devil" reference from the memorial was most likely used in an allegorical sense and not meant to be taken literally. JMO.
The devil led the vilest form of evil down our driveway and he smiled at me before driving Tim away.

Had it ended at the word 'driveway', I might agree ... but IMO the smiling denotes interaction between whomever that evil was and SB.
I agree. SB is absolutely entitled to express her beliefs, but whether it was so intended or not the statement serves to prejudice public sentiment about the accused by suggesting they were possessed by the devil. That is why it need not be repeated. IMO. MOO. IMHO. Alternatively, we could just go for literal interpretations and, in lieu of a trial, we could tie rocks to their bodies, toss them in the river to see if they sink. Witch hunts are still quite popular today in parts of sub Saharan Africa and particularly in South Africa.

"In 1996 The Observer (UK) reported that "the precise statistics are not known, but the deaths from witch-burning episodes number in the hundreds each year and the trend appears to be on the rise." (David Beresford, "Ancient superstitions, fear of witches cast spell on new nation," reprinted in The Ottawa Citizen, June 18, 1996.)"
SB, whose husband was killed, does not deserve our compassion? DM does?

On May 6th, our lives changed forever. The devil led the vilest form of evil down my driveway and it smiled at me before taking Tim away from me.
Its not about compassion or where to place it. Its about the fact that SB did not know and really still does not know that he/she/it that she says was on her driveway, murdered anyone. As I have said before, it is possible that they drove to meet someone, or they met someone at a Tim Hortons or that someone showed up at some point when they were looking at the truck or even other possibilities. When you say it was definitely them that were the evil pair it colors public perception. I am not saying that SB cant say whatever likes or feels but when that is continually repeated as someone else has said it becomes like a brainwashing of the public, obviously through no fault of SB, but the media.
Compassion obviously should be placed with those who are victims, whoever they are.

Except only one was alleged to have been killed with a a gun.
So DM says he didn't do it.
AG MM says "when this [direct indictment] procedure is supported it's because there is solid evidence that the person being accused will be convicted."
Somebody is lying.
It's probably not MM because that would destroy her life and career.
There is absolutely no downside for DM if he lies. So he lies, lies, lies like a rug.

I'm not certain it could be proved that TB or LB were killed with a gun, considering the lack of bodies.... unless LE were fortunate enough to discover a matching bullet(s) perhaps during their investigation of the incinerator, Ayr property, etc.
The funeral proceeded without Bosma’s body, which remains at the coroner’s office as a forensic investigation continues. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.
"The cause of death comes from the expertise that comes from the coroner's office," Kavanagh said., noting that the exact cause of death will not be known until that examination is complete.
But she does know that "evil" took her Tim away, no matter who it was. And that was all she said.
I can't seem to tie any alternate theories to 3 distinctly separate deaths. IMO, the only common denominator among the 3 is DM and the victims appear to be peeps who possibly just got in the way of what he wanted in or out of his life.
Seriously? So in your world, young people never swim where they shouldn't?
And males never ever have close friends? Bromance? Really?? :shakehead:
JMO
Most 27-year-olds in my world would probably stop and ask themselves if there was a valid reason for swimming to be prohibited.
That's the very definition of a bromance, close male, non-sexual friendship.
Let's also remember that as part of these "friendships" DM was buying everyone dinner and jetskis. In your world, is that what goes on with young people's friendships?
JMHO...let's just see how close a look SB got to the ppl she obvious said she saw>>>before her husband TB went out on that test drive ,,,,NEVER TO RETURN as he thought he would ...I am sure she will testify in court and again YOU CAN ALL HEAR IT...and I think those camera on that trusted day Mr. Tim Bosma was taken ...JMHO shall have some trusted photos of the victim and what may have happened...MAYBE those so called perks that intervened shall be seen too...JMO I THINK NOT as I think the accused has GULITY written all over them BUT than JMHO and we shall see IF THERE is a defense ....it never has been shown as far as I have HEARD...JMO and YES this whole thread is looking like the TORI CASE ( JMHO)...I wonder why?????....OMG is all I have to say....the end for now...robynhood
