So the bag was wedged between the dresser and the bed. Probably something WM had put there when he used the bag, not realizing it was from a yoga clothing store. Probably found it thrown somewhere in the house and picked it up when he was going shopping for something. Can't see frugal WM paying for shopping bags.

So DM probably just put the gun at the level of WM's outstretched left hand and dropped it. It landed on/in the bag that was beside the bed.

This is the home's basement. The officer says there were pipes, rolling papers and a "quantity of a leafy green substance" found there. #Millard

So DM and possibly MB were calmly telling the officers why this was likely a suicide. o_O

No distraught family member would behave in this way after finding their loved one deceased if they weren't responsible IMO.

He was told Madeleine Burns had called in and said she was at her ex-husband's house with her son, and believed he had "passed away." #Millard

Nimmo says he was the first officer on scene. Paramedics were already there. He spoke with Burns and Millard, he says. #Millard

He says paramedics told him that Wayne Millard had a history of alcoholism, and it's not uncommon for the blood vessels in the throat of an alcoholic to burst. #Millard

Interesting that all the news outlets sent someone on day 1 of the trial and it appears that none were sent today other than Adam Carter for the CBC. Was there that little interest in the stories yesterday? Perhaps there was and the media aren't going to pay their reporters to cover this trial?
I have noticed same thing in other trials as well. They show up for Day#1, and then possibly later on if there is a witness scheduled who is particularly newsworthy. Thank you CBC for sending Adam Carter!!!!!

The paramedics couldn't look around the area and see a gun on the floor beside the bed?

How could they have perceived this as a natural death of an alcoholic other than by what the family members were saying? Did they see any excessive empty bottles lying around the room?
