We Really Need Your Help to Reunite Families.

I've signed up. It's really not for much, but on disability I don't have much, so consider it my widow's mite for the cause of identifying the unidentified and bringing them home.
Thank you, iamshadow21. Any amount helps.
Take care,
Tricia

I would like to contribute. But I don't have enough information on the process and options.
1. When will the payments be deducted? Specifically the date each month? Do I have a choice of the date the deduction is made?
2. When will the first payment be deducted after I sign up?
Right now the first page has options for the amount of donation. And "button" to process that donation. I am not willing to just press that button without further information as to what happens next.
I would appreciate any information.
Thank you

Mine comes out on the same date each month. I just remember to deduct it from my account the first of each month and it comes out shortly afterward. Never had an issue with it. Like Iamshadow said, it isn’t a lot, but I love knowing that I am helping in some small way.

Thanks for sharing the process!

@dogface 82 - Let us know what other questions you might have.

Thanks to everyone for helping!

As Kilkarney said theirs comes out the same time each month. I can tell you that as soon as I donated, the amount came out and then the amount comes out on the day I donated each month. I signed up on the l5th and it comes out every month on the l5th. I believe that is what Kilkarney Rose was saying as well.

Is there an option to make a one-time donation? Thanks!
Absolutely. Go to www.dnasolves.com. You'll see "new cases." You can pick one of those cases to donate or scroll down a bit, click on "more cases" and pick a case to donate to.
You can also sign up for a month to the subscription and then cancel after your first donation if you do not want to pick a specific case but you only want to donate once.
Thank you Jinkasaurus. Every bit helps.

Dear Websleuths members and Guests,
You no longer have to endure the obnoxious advertising we used to have for many years on Websleuths. Rather than go back to having ads on our site we are asking you to help in another area.
DNA Solves.com helps reunite families of the missing.
They do DNA tests on unidentified remains and are almost always able to send the remains to the family members who finally get the answers they deserve.
The DNA tests are at least 7500 dollars each.
If you could subscribe and make a monthly donation to DNASolves.com that would go a long way in helping the families and making sure we do not have to have ads again.
Many of you used to donate to keep Websleuths up and running. Since we no longer accept donations, It would be incredible if you could donate monthly to DNASolves.com instead.
CLICK THIS LINK to make a monthly donation. Even if it is 1 dollar a month, it will help.
Let's keep Websleuths ad-free forever!
Take Care,
Tricia Griffith
Manager/Websleuths.com

For those who may be hesitating, these DNA tests are crucial to solving missing person's cases and serial murder cases.

The podcast TrueCrimeBullSh** makes this point over and over (and mentions Websleuths and DNA research companies). This is how we stop serial rape and serial killing.

It's very cool to see WS and DNASolves created a partnership!

Thanks Tricia! If I could make a suggestion, it might help to let people know they can also donate to a specific case. Sometimes when people can feel a more personal connection to a cause, in this case, choosing a specific DNA case to solve, it inspires them to donate.

I understand that recurring monthly donations are what most charities prefer, as it provides a more stable income stream, but maybe you'd capture a few more donations here on WS by presenting the "choose a case to donate to" angle.

Just a thought!

Donating, hit i dint think my DNA will help much, I'm English with a total cost of arms to go with my English blue blood, that makes me a genetic inbreed and why I live in Scotland for now

My family do not like me or my attitude as I throw history and the British slave empire in their face while they think they live off you give with 7 followers, two are me!

So I'm not in contact with many, 3 cousins and a sister i last saw last century.

I just came here to say that maybe a "Monthly Spotlight" of a specific case would be a way for people to feel connected. I've made my donation, but some of the cases needing funding on the Othram website are very compelling! Or maybe including the "Top 10" in the requests for funding! I am more moved by the Does needing identification than avoiding obnoxious ads!

This is great feedback. Thank you. It would be great to figure out how we could showcase a case each month. Just need to find the right place to showcase it.
