Isn't that the weirdest looking creature you've ever seen? I listened to the news today and they are trying to say it's a raccoon. I call BS. I've seen many raccoons in my life and that thing is NO KIN!

It looks like a Koala bear mixed with a dog.

BS=This isn't Bull Snot.
PITA=Pain In The Arse.

The correct term is just plain koala - it used to be called a koala bear in Australia years ago but I think the scientists came up with the idea the koala was more closely related to a wombat than a bear!
I grew up calling the animal a koala bear and still find it difficult to drop the 'bear' title.

Aussie slang - re the use of the word crook

You can be a crook i.e. do crooked dealings/do something illegal
You can go crook on someone i.e. get mad at them
or
You can feel crook i.e. you feel poorly/sick etc.

Can someone explain what a sticky is?

  • #59
The one that used to always get me was

IIRC

If I Recall Correctly

Which I now use a lot b/c I am often too lazy to go back and look something up. Especially in the Caylee forum where there are 9 million threads.

I though IIRC was an Americanism to do with inland revenue (the income tax man) - puts a totally different spin on things, cheers.

Go into a forum (Crimes in the News is good) then look at the top. You will see 'stickies'. It is threads that need to be prevented from being buried by other posts over time.
