It is working fine on my end.
It's not doing it on this thread but it happens every time when I go to this thread - Found Deceased - ID - Joshua Vallow, 7, Tylee Ryan, 16, Tammy Daybell, 49, Charles Vallow, 62, Oct 2019 *Arrests* #65 and another thread I'm following Found Deceased - TX - Heidi Broussard, 33, murdered, baby stolen, Austin, 12 Dec 2019 *friend charged* #13

do you mind seeing if it happens to you when you click on the most recent posts on one of those threads?

"Watched threads/Threads with your posts" haven't got this "Jump..." button on my phone :(

There is only "Unwatch" or "Manage" but with no "Jump..." option.

Can we get the actual page view counts back instead of the rounded-up number?
My sentiments exactly. I use the view counter to gauge how much interest there still is in the case after I post, even though there are no replies.

The count is accurate until it gets in the 1000's then it goes to 1k, 2k etc. That is part of the new software not a change I made on our end.

I'm not seeing it on my screen.

I go to watched threads, and there I see the ones highlighted blue with the new posts. I click on the thread title (used to click on a little dot to take me to the latest unread posts but that's gone now). That takes me to the new posts but then it jumps up a few posts that I've already seen and I have to scroll back down.

Do you mind talking me through how you do it, and get to the 'find new posts' thingy, please?

I use my bookmarks to get to a thread I want to read. It is there that the button "Jump to New" appears. Not on the Watched Threads. I have to do bookmarks & I change the post # I want to read on there. On the Watched Threads I just write down which ones I need to read. So no help on the "Watched Thread" one...

Sorry my response of it working normally was through "whats new" not "watched threads". Yes the links you posted did give me the same jump. I have added these links to my watched threads and will check them out when new posts are made.

I will post there as a test post.

Is there anything you can do to get us back to actual views?

'Seems I'm required to "stay logged in" to post. Maybe it's just me?

I've always had to be logged in to post.

I was talking about the little box that says "STAY logged in" has to (now since update) be checked. It used to be a member could log in but not have to STAY logged in. I keep getting a security error if the box is unchecked. And, I wonder if this is related to WS tracking online activity.

Thanks, I just logged out and attempted to login, I saw the issue.

The short answer is I fixed it, you may have to clear your cookies/cache.

The longer answer though is that it may happen again. I am customizing things that are intended to speed the site up. In the process some settings will not work well with our setup. For now I have completely shut down the portion that would cause the current issue. I will be flipping the switch one at a time until I find exact piece that causes the issue.

I was wrong, it is not fixed yet...give me a minute

Well I completely shut that project down and we still have the issue. This will take a bit of research.

FYI to those that encounter the problem before I fix it.

1) By clicking "stay logged in" in it only considers you logged in for 20 minutes after your last action. When you return, your cookie will be marked with your user login and be read, thus showing you once again logged in. There is no tracking after you leave Websleuths.

2) Once you are logged out, to get back in (this is when you will see the issue) first clear cache/cookies, then refresh the websleuths page, then you should be able to login again without the error message.

Now I am going to get busy and try to fix this issue.
