Not trying to bash Ms Alyce or anything, but I honestly was listening to the you-tube that was posted of court today. I left the room to get me some Frosted Flakes and upon returning when I heard her tone of voice I could totally tell that Juan was up...her tone of voice is soooo different when Ms. Wilmont is questioning her than it is with Juan !

Did you notice how she finally started giving "yes or no" answers towards the end of session, when he was questioning her? Also, today was the first time I actually heard her stammer... I almost felt sorry for her.

When JM questioned her about her CV and the man she testified for, she sounded like a schoolchild who was caught cheating.

Posted this on the observer thread but putting it here too just in case:

I had a long talk with Samantha this week who asked me " so what is this Websleuths place?" and talked about all the gifts and financial support they've been receiving and how she's doing her best to keep up with thank yous but if she hasn't then to pass along a big thank you to all of Websleuths for being there for the family. And gave me a big , strong, long hug. As I say, my blessing and my gift to be able to know this family and offer anything I can. I will be there with them all the way through and beyond. We are part of each other now.

There is NOTHING in any of Travis's blogs or his journals, that corroborate or describe or discuss ANY domestic violence against anyone in his life.

There is NOTHING that was said by any of Travis's friends or family or ex's, that describe him EVER being physically abusive to anyone.

I don't understand what you mean when you say:

WHEN did ALV say that?


Just because she read the texts and IM's between Jodi and Travis, it does not mean she KNOWS there wAs ever any DV. Neither of them ever discussed any.

When she was asked a juror question. I forget which one exactly. I believe there were a few about excluding what Jodi told you type questions.

As far as I know, it wasn't admitted as evidence. As an "expert" witness LAV could have referred to it but she didn't. Which was JM's point. Why wouldn't she?

Remember she kept using the word, pattern.

She was looking at intensity and frequency over time.

This is not a few events here and there.

IMO

Believe me when I tell you I have my best friend lying in a grave because of a ONE TIME incident with domestic violence.

No priors, no pattern, no intensity built up over time.

This is precisely why I have no respect for this expert witness, she uses generalizations.

When ALV answered one of the jurors questions, she said "During the Defensive Event of June 4" (or something like that)...I thought Juan might show the pictures of Travis' defensive wounds to his hands trying to stop her from repeatedly stabbing him. But in hindsight, I think this Jury knows and Juan knows they know.....JMO

I think it was covered in the line-in-the-sand moment when ALV said she considers Jodi the greater victim of DV.

I am so out of touch with this thread...I miss you guys. Only so much I can keep up with (and now I'm doing twitter too...arrrgh).

1. just posted my trial notes from yesterday and

2. Did you catch that ALV and JW and MdlR decided to dine last night at the one and only spot they would be MOST SEEN in all of Phoenix related to this trial? The hotel where most of the media stay and where we all usually go for Happy Hour. Is she really trying to be unnoticed? I smell a set up.

ALV and ALL her anxiety. Give me a break!

She has the words, she has the time they were sent, and she has the date.

It's pretty easy to figure out the length of time.

Everything is timestamped and dated.

IMO

But she is vastly and grossly overestimating the time and length of his anger. Just because someone sends a few angry texts over a three hour period, that does not mean the sender is sitting there enraged that entire time. They are probably fixing a sandwich, watching a ball game and checking their FB at the same time.
