Look at the cup after the carafe shaking. Full of ice cubes. That's all.

Yep. That's all it was. LOL. JA is evil in my mind, but sometimes ice is just ice.

If my position was that of a detective (or other) and was told to do this by another in the courtroom?

The water (and cup) would be over his/her head <------

----> and within a continuous, progressive flow.

:winkaway:

If I were Flores, I'd not only make sure JM had a full cup of water at all times, but I'd have several placed in different locations for easy access. In addition, I'd pick up his dry cleaning and Just for Men, if needed.

Good Morning, Good Morning.

I do remember ALV on the stand speaking of her men relatives and that they were all great. I remember she was facing the jury but do not remember who was up and what they were asking but she did say that.

Yes she did. But I don't think she mentioned a husband. She mentioned her father, her son, her brothers in law....but at the time I remember thinking hmmmmmmm - wonder what THAT story is. I could be mistaken if she did, in fact, mention a husband. It's early and I am on my third cup of coffee after waking at 3:30 a.m. and not being able to go back to sleep. :floorlaugh:

Why do you think she was shaking it?

Cup was full of ice and water spilled to her right. Grabbed kleenex to wipe it up and gave it a half-assed effort. Definitely not as aggressive cleaning the water up as she was cleaning up Travis's blood.

(snip)

It's her blatant refusal to answer a question that is right there in front of her on her OWN continuum in black and white plain English. She just refuses to do it for Juan. For JW, "Yes it is". Says A LOT about her character.
She really, really has a hard time letting anything pass. I find it so aggravating to listen to her I cannot even IMAGINE her as a domestic violence counselor.

HellsYES! I am right there with you

I find that when I review the juror questions which others have very thoughtfully transcribed, often I cannot remember how ALV answered. Her words spark all kinds of thoughts about who she is as a person that I lose the details of what she actually says, and sometimes they elicit such an aggravated mental response my brains instantly shuns her.

I don't know how the jury maintains any facial or bodily composure whatsoever. I would be jumping out of my skin to get away from her.

I normally stay on the trial threads and very rarely bounce around to the others. Wow, I'm sure glad I don't venture out much. By the sound of some of them for instance, Armchair Psych Discussion, to me it sounds like a pro-Jodie site and lets trash Travis and his religion. In General Questions, for awhile, it was let's bash Juan. I'm staying away from those and not going back.

Maybe it's me and I'm tired and maybe I'm seeing too much into it. It took all I had to stay calm and not post but I think if I did, I would get my head bit off. :what:

I just came from over in that thread and you are correct in your assessment it seems.

Yes now that you say it I do not remember her saying "husband" but I am only on the third cup of coffee also!

I still have one little unknown - Violette, when referring to the "Manifesto", said that Lisa "TOLD HER" that JA wanted to autograph it and get copies in case she became famous one day. How did this witness find out about JA wanting to sign this so-called manifesto?

Who is Lisa and how did this witness get this info?

She said Amy not Lisa.

Amy could have been a former defense team player of some sort if ALV was told by Amy, as she stated she was.
I say that only because ALV stated more then once she didn't interview anyone except the defendant.

Another thing I noticed is that this is the second time (at least) that ALV tried to speak with the judge before the jury was out the room. One day she didn't even stand for the jury. Such disrespectful behavior. She really came off to me as a person who thinks she can say and do what she wants when she wants to do it, and when she's put in her place, she cops an attitude. She seems to have very little respect for authority and no sense of courtroom decorum, imo.

You would think after all of her experience testifying as an "expert" she would have a very good understanding of courtroom decorum. Something is lacking apparently.

must mention, must mention, must mention, must mention, must mention!!

Forgot to say this but:

Jodi Arias is the ONLY

alleged

Killer/stalker I have ever heard about. How Proud she was to be Frugal and Save Gas when she put gas in the gas cans.

She bragged about it on the stand....and I think she said something about she Clips Coupons too or something.

This is a Trial...........not "Lets Find a Deal"

OMG - One Fry short of a Full Meal Deal ( !! )

As I watch the trial, I notice that JM has no assistants with him other than Det. Flores (:great:) sitting beside him.

He is always prepared, paperwork in order.
When I look at DT, I see 2 attorneys (one taking many notes and one relaxing) and Mitigation Lady (what exactly is her role?)

I find it curious that with all the $$$$$ being spent on this trial that JM is handling this so well by himself.

Is this usual and customary for the Prosecution?
I'm surprised he has no one there assisting him with all the paperwork, evidence and documents.

Just a funny thought I had yesterday while Juan was doing his rebuttals. I guess that's how I should say it. Anyway, watching JW looking at him and ALV with a panicked look on her face I kept thinking in her head she was screaming "HEY, CAN WE STOP! I JUST CLEANED THIS MESS UP AND NOW YOUR MESSING IT ALL UP AGAIN"!!! Like how a Mom yells at her kids when everything is out of control. Sorry O/T

Wasn't it said that recently ja had journals removed from her jail cell? I know I'm tired and its been a long day but I swear I ain't joshing.

Nurmi filed a motion to compel - on or about 1 April her journals were taken from her cell.

One note - if you recall there was no trial on 1 April - so if they disappeared on the 1st - Jodi would have been been in that cell for the most part. Sounds like drama to me - poor persecuted little girl drama.

No, I was really hoping a juror would have asked her that.
the books

Just kidding here, but maybe they were....LOL :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I get why you would want to.
This is a serious case.

He appears quite humble actually.
Which is why I made the joke about it.
Would not have done so otherwise.

I think he does have the time though.

bbm, Well yesterday she sharpened the little pencils for jodi so she would be prepared to drop her head when the question or answer was one she would rather not partake in.

LOL - Detective Flores is now Juan Martinez's Waterboy ! That would be fine with me - As much energy as Juan uses, he needs water available at all times. Remember how much trouble another Hispanic got in trouble for needing water and didn't have it handy? (OK - Not going there.....).
The case that Flores worked so hard on is now in my man Juan's hands now. Flores had to spend a lot of time interrogating this creepy, lying, murderer. He wants her convicted, so I'm sure he's happy to get JM water, carry his brief case, feed him his lunch...anything that would be helpful to JM in convicting JA of first degree murder!
