^THIS!

I was yelling at the screen! They KNEW that she found out by snooping through his phone and emails. Her BS story was the woman coming into the restaurant.

:banghead:

Me and you both!!! But ALV kept saying "But it was true, TA WAS dating Lisa"...DUHHHHHHHHHHHH Right over her head! :banghead:

She did say she was I guess what you might say, computer challenged.
I have seen the twitter. I don't have one myself so I can not see what people tweet her. I saw three tweets by her, if it is hers. Last tweet is, "Staying Positive." First tweet was 4/11, last tweet last night. I see that that this account went from 50 followers to over 200. I don't know how to tell if an account is real or not. Perhaps that is impossible IDK.

If ALV claims to be computer challenged she never should have taken on this case since so much of the evidence she considered was computer generated. If she decided to take the case on she should have updated her computer skills enough to tell the difference between IM, text messages, emails, etc. We all know that those messages did not cover the usual 16 pages. It takes time to text a message.

I am really surprised ALV was not concerned about why this message was sent to Jodi and what provoked his outburst. He obviously was very angry and according to the way ALV evaluates these relationships she never considered Travis as the one who may have been fearful because she has not had enough experience to evaluate a male who is in this position.

Texting, when it only lets you enter so many characters before sending would not allow him to get the full extent of what he wanted to say into a text. That would mean when he started the next text he would be reestablishing that anger level trying to get his point across to her while being limited to the size of his text. This is why it lasted over the course of a couple of hours, IMI. Could be ALV is thinking this was a long time but had he put it in an email the amount of time he'd spend typing could have been much less and she would not have been able to measure that. Plus he would have gotten it all out in one long stream. Apparently she does not see that. We can see by Travis' emails that he does write long ones so his texting would have been the same.

I almost hope she does use it (after the trial) because I'd love the see her restricted to :laugh:140 characters.

I just love this place! So many good ones here! You guys are too smart and too funny!

Incredible, right?

My take was that ALV believed the story about the stranger in the restaurant because Travis actually was seeing Lisa at the time. Sort of like, Jodi said the galactic ruler of Arcturus beamed me a message through the fillings in my teeth that Travis was seeing Lisa, and ALV believes it because the message was accurate. I think you're correct, though -- ALV was talking about the relationship between Travis and Lisa, not the idiot story JA told.

Yup ALV just took that "stranger in restaurant lie" and lined it up with with Travis dating Lisa and it became 100% the truth. For ALV thats collateral evidence. Just like the injured finger=travis broke it.

Jodi has used this lie over and over to cover the fact that she is breaking into personal emails, texts, etc. What are the odds of this same scenario happening more than once? And you know she told Travis about how she caught her ex boyfriend using that same lie. When she pulled it on Travis he did not believe it and called it BS.

And my favorite quote from the trial is still when JM says "We'll it's YOUR fog!" Lololol

I have some M&ms with that quote on it. Lol

Mornin' peeps.

The Today Show has a segment on the case right now.

My understanding is that JA left work basically immediately and drove 90 miles for this unexpected friendly chat. Is ALV aware of this?

Yes she is. She said, well, they weren't completely broken up in her mind and they still communicated periodically, and JA was having difficulty letting go, which is normal at that age, and the visit wasn't hostile and she got the clarity that the man should have given her himself, but he hadn't told her he was seeing anyone else, so his bad. No really.

That is something that has bothered me a bit as well. ALV didn't even seem to consider that JA could have gotten this information in some other way such as hacking into his emails or phones. Also, she spoke about patterns and contexts yet didn't see a pattern that everytime someone 'cheated' she was told by a mutual friend showing up at her work? That's odd.

Part of me feels that is what those texts are about. She hacked into his emails or/and phone. Found some things and possibly did some things like send some emails. Pretending to be TA and said things to see what would happen with the female. Being immature, she might have done something to catch him in the act or even pretended to be somebody she wasn't to see what he would do/say.

Love to know what happened there.

K

I was so happy after the first jury question about the "BS story" resulting in ALV saying she believed it because of the evidence TA was seeing Lisa at the time. Another question directly asked about it not being the subject of the story, but how she found out. This is an incredibly intelligent jury.

The DT is trying to play it as if the "BS story" is him seeing Lisa, and not about how JA found out.

About ALV claiming JA driving to ambush Bianca wasn't "hostile". Remember the scene in Fatal Attraction where she's nicely sitting in their living room having tea quietly with his wife when he comes home? That wasn't hostile either.

she relied only on JA and matt mccartney's account of that confrontation....er....conversation only, and they're both liars so........

i'm thinking if you drive 90 miles to 'have a conversation' with some chick your BF (in her head) is seeing, you're not thinking of places you can take her to lunch. but then, that's just me.

Are there any legal eagles around? This is an interesting blog article regarding what could possibly be in store for ALV next week:

Will Alyce Laviolette Be Charged With Perjury?

http://tamaratattles.com/2013/04/12/will-alyce-laviolette-be-impeached-as-an-expert-witness/
I haven't read the words in your link, but this pic really jumped out at me. The change in LAV is unreal.

I was annoyed at ALV for making it seems like travis sat down and wrote jodi a 16 pg tirade putting her down and assassinating her character. The jurors asked her could the message appear as a long tirade because they were text messages or something to that fact. Some text messages only let you use 160 characters at a time. I'm no math whiz but if someone hurt me to a point where I had to let it alllll out 16 pages of text wouldn't bother me..just saying. But then again she knows nothing about texts. Also ALV never considered why travis wrote those things to her. He says you scammed me, you are a liar, worse than hitler, something about being a carcass...I would want to know what happened before this text. I saw Travis telling no lies when he told jodi off. Was it mean? Yes. Did she deserve it?? Most likely Was it character assassination? NO. Everything he said was true about Jodi. especially when he told her YOU ARE THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME.

Well said! The amazing thing to me is the fact that the DT had the very poor judgment to even bring this text message into evidence. How much did they really gain from it? These words were the spontaneous utterings of someone who was outraged at being duped by a manipulating con artist. She 'scammed' Travis and he finally figured out what she was all about.

Not only does Travis's rant NOT support JA's phony 'self defense' claim - it goes to motive. It should have been evidence for the prosecution. Is it just a coincidence that JA stole Grandpa's gun two days later? I think not.

The DT has tried to put two square pegs in two round holes: Samuels and LaViolette. There is no evidence whatsoever of PTSD or Battered Woman syndrome. Heck, they could have gone with 'heat of passion' and had a better outcome. What were they thinking???

What the heck is the Human Magnet Syndrome?

This is where people turn into magnets and are placed onto various medal objects.

Love,
Ms. Beenupallnight

You know that place where you have had little sleep, not enough to pass out; too much to be cranky, yet just enough to feel drunk? w/o drinking anything?

Yeah, right about there.

I've been thinking about this statement and the previous sentence:

I WANT YOU TO UNDERSTAND HOW EVIL I THINK YOU ARE.

I can't imagine the horror of circumstances that would have moved Travis to make such statements. Without going into detail, there have been people in my life who hurt me and I'm sure it's true for almost everyone that we may have thought these things from time to time. But to say them to someone? What would that take?

Anyone willing to admit that they've made a similar statement and the situation underlying it?

I have been threatened many times with verbal and emotional abuse. By my ex husband of 22 years but...no I can't imagine. The only thing I can see that would call for responses like TA's...were threats/blackmail....say (she) somehow managed to trap him in the phone sex tape and Threaten him by saying she possessed other incriminating photos she was going to go public with them, and more...she told him she was going to go to The Bishop, as well as his place of emloyment and current love interests with accusations that he was a pedophile.

He called her worse than Hitler...!!!!!:what:

Plus, we know JA lies and is manipulative. Its possible it was one of those two things that was fueling the anger each and every response. He wanted the truth. Somehow, whatever was behind the texts, he knew she was lying. ALV said in JA's responses back to him she is placating him...or was it more like lying to keep the his reaction (anger) going a little bit longer.

I still have a feeling that she is more an anti death penalty advocate than a DV advocate. That's her main agenda in this case. IMO

IIRC that is what she was originally hired to do. I would love to know from others when she did the flip to being a expert witness.

In 1998 ALV published an article for the Women's Studies Encyclopedia called

The Battered Husband Syndrome and Other Myths

:what::what::what:

Yeah, well the frog is boiled, finishing touches on Tuesday.

And the Hounslow Slasher just got sentenced to 18 years. :rocker:

Right O. He said he would lie for her, we know this to be true. Anything that is only known or said by the two of them...JA and MM..and used as fact is very suspect in my book. Unless there is a 3rd person who can state it as fact I don't believe the two of them together.

IMHO

I would LOVE to see Bianca brought in to tesify in JM's rebuttal case. Love to hear her version of how sweet little Jodi' s conversation/confrontation really was!
