I the
the guy you are talking about did die about the same day they found SG's body. That guy's partner in one of the businesses died by suicide.

If you care to search the archives on this Board you will find a post where I predicted the murder would be 'solved ' by blaming it on a dead guy. That was quickly changed by Spota who said one can't rely on the Internet

Hawk- I haven't heard about Spota claiming you cannot rely on the Internet. Could you elaborate?

I thought so too...presser shut down when someone asked what size the belt was (IIRC) and there was confusion about the embossing...either the leather belt is embossed or not....who was the guy that killed himself in downtown Riverhead maybe ten years ago ? He had been involved in a lot of revitalizing the downtown area and had gone bankrupt.....a bartender I know had read The Lost Girls and we were discussing it.....two retired cops overheard us and told us that the LISK would not be tried bc he was already dead and mentioned that guy...…...Hawks my wise friend have you ever heard this ?
yes

Hi Hawkshaw,
I have always had doubts about the guilt of the accused in the Karina Vetrano case. This horrific crime was filled with rage, knocking her teeth out, etc. Chanel Lewis doesn't seem to have the build or the demeanor to carry it out. Karina seemed to be in much better physical shape than him.
I have always suspected someone "closer". Some published photos of the victim seemed borderline inappropriate to be taken with a family member. The extreme violence and rage of the crime would seem to imply a more emotional (real or imagined) connection.
I do not want to "victim shame" and I hope I am wrong but the crime and violence seemed too brutal for a random attack.

Pleased to know that someone out there considers the possibilities Lewis didn't do it. Keep your eyes and ears open for some news of other prosecutions.

I just got a chill bc I felt that too....when I first saw the photos of her with family it seemed...….like there aren't a lot of boundaries shall we say within the family......

My main concern in the case is the prosecutor that tried it.

After some quick research (reading some of the Queens Eagle stories about some of his previous DNA cases), I can understand the concern.

Have you watched The Killing Season?

I'm in it - Episode 8

Yes I'm aware, my question was directed towards Mindy whom I quoted as she mentioned the Truck Driver theory, which was a prominent theme in the series.

I started watching it I have to finish it

He maybe, though Ocean Parkway is not a truck route... he could be a driver who resides on LI and does kill on when he's on the road.

If you have been reading the stories about a Lawrence Ray and his role as a sex trafficker I think it will interest you guys to further explore just what the hell is wrong with the system. Ray is the fellow that brought down NYPD Comm. Kerik. He is a very bad guy. I think I can connect Ray with Burke enough to make a lot of people wonder.
Way back I made a post that said if that idiot Spota knew what he was doing he could have made the cover of Time Magazine as Man of the Year.

Hawks its chilling me to see how interconnected all this is.....am wondering what an older family member knows …...

The biggest sex fiend of all, IMO is Eliot Spitzer. What is even funnier is he was replaced by Eric Schneiderman.
