Yes I’ve tried a few different ones at a time. Not sure why it picks up certain ones.

The type of advertisement is one that the web developer puts into the website through google adwords or html. It hasn’t been there up until last night. I think it was added to the website last night when it went down. It’s just in a bad place. Right above the comment bar at the bottom of each page on a thread.

I can hardly post today due to an ad just above this box.

Just so ya know, it's tiny - about the size of a comma. If I zoom to 240% I can see it clearly but small.

Glad you said it! I was going to go and get my eyes tested. It looks like a mosquito landed on my screen.

I'm able to see the writing emoji (at 120% zoom) but it is not as big as the green big grin guy.

No, this site supports people's privacy more than the other.

When on WS, see of it helps when you turn off Flash within advanced settings. Iirc someone instructed me to take this step due to long-running script. Now, when coming to WS, I turn off Flash and don't have that problem and can scroll smoothly.

Adding - the above remedy was used on the old forum though.
Today is my first day here so not sure how my computer will respond.

This morning everything seems to be working again. Even though things are good, I've taken your advice and turned it off anyway. Can you please let me know under what circumstances I should re-enable it?

Each letter takes 15 seconds to post. It just holds, like the photo. One way to shut me up.

On the previous Websleuths site, I had many smileys memorized so I could just type them out and not have to resort to that massive chart. It's much more convenient to have them all in one place, and I'm happy with the limited selection and no animation
