Police have confirmed human remains found at a beach on the NSW Mid North Coast are those of a 63-year old Queensland grandmother.

Wendy Hansen's skeleton was found in sand dunes near the Coffs Harbour Jetty in June this year.

She was last seen in late February withdrawing cash from an ATM in Monto, 170 kilometres west of Bundaberg in Queensland.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances of her death.

Seen withdrawing cash in Monto and then driving 400 k’s south near the Sunshine Coast and towards Brisbane.

“They tracked down further footage of Ms Hansen from the same day, when she was seen driving south on the Bruce Highway near Wild Horse Mountain on the Sunshine Coast.
She was driving her silver 2007 two-door Mitsubishi Pajero with Queensland number plates at the time of the sighting, which was about 400km away from Monto.”

Here’s the full clip of Wendy at the ATM. The still photo published makes her look like she’s frowning at something (probably intentional by the media) but in the video she seems to be going about her business calmly.
Yes that is what I would do, have a look around every so often to make sure there is no one suspicious ready to grab your money off you.
Seems very normal and she walked off without seeming worried about anything.

I wonder if she had planned to travel to meet someone.

No recent updates, hopefully the police are still working through any footage they obtained in the public appeal for information on both Ms Hansen's movements and her car.

Homicide detectives have found a dead grandmother’s car months after her remains were found half-buried at a NSW beach.

*****
A homicide investigation was launched as well as Strike Force Osbox, with their inquiries leading detectives to find Wendy’s silver Mitsubishi Pajero in a carpark near Geebung Railway Station on Saturday, September 7.

*****
“The vehicle was seized for forensic examination; however, personal items belonging to Wendy — including her mobile phone that she had when she went missing — were not located in the vehicle and remain missing,” NSW Police said on Wednesday.

Police still have more questions than answers as to how and why Hansen ended up in Coffs Harbour, more than 860km from home.

So Wendy disappeared in February from Monto, her body was found in Coffs Harbour in June, and her car was located in Brisbane in September. Have I got that right? Foul play, indeed.

I feel the video is normal as can be....
Looking around, just to see if anyone is standing in line is pretty common....

What time of day is this?????

Why such little coverage? With all the miles between her known whereabouts and how far away she and her vehicle were found.... seems like a pretty blatent criminal act to me.
