Wes Goodman, GOP lawmaker led secret gay life, accused of sexual harassment

I mentioned this earlier, too, but geeeeeeeeeez I hope there's some sort of law enforcement response to all this. An investigation — something.

Eerie silence so far. Maybe after the Thanksgiving holiday?

I don't know if it warrants legal action unless he targeted underaged boys. But, at the very least, we can hope that his wife files for divorce ASAP and that he simply fades into oblivion.

The article suggests that she was ok with it. Or maybe that was just his bragging.

That's hilarious! There's NO way she's ok with it. Deal-breakers galore! IMO.

It's very troubling to me how many people kept this disgusting, predatory behavior quiet for so long and made it possible for this "man" to be elected to public office.

I think it is the same reason many women don't speak about it. First, no one wants to be the person who has to come out and say this happened to them as it could make others not want to work with them. Second, a connection to him may have held the potential for a job or connection. Third, being branded as gay if you don't want to be out or are not gay, is tough to move through in your personal and professional life.

Incredible! People knew. The issue is that he was lying to all of the “family values” Republicans that voted for him.

This. The Ohio Republican Party is very homophobic, though there are probably many of them who are also "in the closet". Even more important is keeping their majority. They were willing to look the other way when it came to this guy's abusive behavior.
