ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - In November 2008, a woman was found murdered in a rural Wisconsin town and now investigators say new forensic evidence ties her to Albuquerque.
"They believe the person that they have back in Wisconsin, the unidentified person, has ties to the Albuquerque area," said Officer Simon Drobik with the Albuquerque Police Department.
A young woman, estimated to be aged 15-21, was found in a shallow creek in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin in November 2008. Investigators say it was obvious she had been dead for months.
The decomposed body didn't give them much to work with, but investigators do say she was murdered.
