I suggest you send a message to administrator @Fraize who handles stuff like this. Maybe send him a screenshot showing what you mean. I still think it means someone has gifted you a Guardian subscription, but I could be wrong.still don't understand this - when the 'gifted' posts are displayed, does this mean someone has gifted me those posts? and if so, why? most of them I've already seen or they're cases I'm not following - and if I'm supposed to gift those posts to someone, why? I don't get this 'feature' at all

When in doubt, “go ask Alyce…”No, it means that the person who made that post was gifted a Guardian subscription. It is just showing all of us some of the good posts that have been made……and which, presumably, led to a generous Websleuths member deciding to gift a subscription to that person.

I was just gifted too! Not sure where to thank them lolyou were right - I just didn't understand the purpose of me seeing the posts - like I thought I was supposed to do something with them![]()
I "think" I accidentally gifted someone.
I meant to "like" their post.
Anyway this box came up and said I'd gifted the member.
I don't think I've ever used a credit or debit card on WS.
I have donated a few times by Paypal but I think I have less than $5 there right now.
Just thought I'd ask whether there's something I should do.
I have gifted a bunch of people who I agree with most of their posts. It’s my way of saying thank you for your posts and to continue to post for us. I pay $3/mos for each person I gift including my own. Hope this helpsI suggest you send a message to administrator @Fraize who handles stuff like this. I usually do it anonymously but there’s a couple people who know I gifted them. Su5ie and RedHaus are two I recently gifted. What happens if two people end up gifting the same person? Could that happen?Gifting is a way to purchase guardianship status for another Websleuther. You would have had to take further action than just clicking on the "gift" tab. It's not a one-click feature!
