Just intrigued by this post.

Maybe Burke will write a book. It would certainly sell.

Poor kid. I just want him to be able to live a happy and mentally healthy life. But I sure can't fathom how he ever could.

You'd be surprised. Don't underestimate the ability of the human mind to protect itself. Especially since he was a chid when this happened, he may remember only what he has been told about it (by his parents and other family members) and have effectively blocked out what really happened. Kids are pretty resilient. If he was going to have a meltdown, it probably would have happened by now. As far as a tell-all? Not while his father is alive, I'd bet the rent on it. Even down the road...he may need therapy or even hypnosis to recall the events of that horrible night.

I absolutely agree Deedee.the mind can deny anything too horrible to live with.
IMO,the thing that would jog his memory the most is hearing himself on that 911 tape.it could all come rushing back then.
