I was looking to see if anyone else had seen this! And it was not the first time! I am afraid for JB! To me it says she is not done with him yet. ICA never shows this closeness, affection or understanding unless she is reeling someone farther into her web. There was a reason, something she will be expecting from him no matter what happens. If I was his wife, I'd be scared!

Post # 15

I haven't seen a video of this encounter between JB and ICA, but I was taken aback by the Ryan Smith/Jean Casarez demo on ICA's physical gesture toward JB.

It reminded me, for want of a more recent example, of Barbara Streisand's interaction with Neil Diamond as they performed "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" at the 1980 Grammy Awards (at about the 2:59 mark).

I suppose ICA has a history of trying to ingratiate herself with men, but IMO these courtroom antics with JB seemed over the top. God only knows what kind of dynamics they have shared for three years now behind the scenes, but I would expect JB to be extremely circumspect and cautious with a dangerous dingbat like ICA.

I learned that no one EVER makes an accident look like a murder. That's Absurd!

I learned (or really was reminded) that Rick Plesea, CA's brother, was pretty much spot on about ICA back in August of 2008. Three months before Caylee was discovered, Rick Plesea told CA in e-mails that ICA was heading for a murder conviction.

He demanded proof of Zanny's existence, and doubted she existed, due to ICA's incorrigible dishonesty. Watching LDB today, he must have felt entirely vindicated.

:rocker::detective:

IIRC, CA claimed, to the police, that she had Zanny's phone number early in the investigation but also claimed "she lost it".

If I were RP, when the verdict came in I'd email her this;

I learned that nearly everyone at the 4th of July cookout I went to were following the trial and we all had our phones programmed to receive an verdict alert. Thirty people (not counting the kids) were just as obsessed with this case as I was, but I knew more than everyone else only because of this website!!!!!

I was so popular at this party. Everybody asked me questions about this case. I sounded so smart and it's all because of all the hard work you all have done!!!

As I was leaving I told everyone my source. I told them about all the work you guys have done and if you had any questions, this was the place to find the answers. I struggled with telling them throughout the cookout and finally gave in....but only as I was walking out the door.

Thank you so much for making me the hit of the party!!!

Respectfully,
BeagleMom

It sounds like you didn't mention emus!!! :snooty:

I learned that ICA is starting to resemble Ruth Buzzy. All she needs is the hairnet to complete the image.

I learned that if Casey married Dominic Casey, her name would be Casey Casey.

I know. I know. That was lame but I couldn't think of anything. :floorlaugh:

I hope ICA will never be able to experience life outside of prison again. I wonder though, do you think she thinks she might? Is there a thread any where here about that? I mean, I've been thinking these past couple days or actually wondering , if she is thinking:" It might be soon, and then I can......" I know most will say something like go to her old hangouts, but I really wonder, what in the world does she think she will do?

I'm not talking about the regular, go on book tour comments and such. I just could not imagine how she thinks it would be out here. Does she really think it will be normal for her again if she is let go? (never I know)

I remember reading the jail letters from Cindy where Cindy tells her that she talked to someone about getting Casey into law school when she's out of jail. Does anyone else remember that?

None of the above choices, but I learned that when it is either nancy grace or linda kenney baden on TV, that is the time to turn it OFF!

We learned that even though the DT thought they had gotten rid of him, Judge Strickland was with us until the very end of this trial...

You know, I thought along those lines when JB was giving his closing. Why did JB object when she said that, btw?

And why didn't the prosecution object when he kept calling their evidence "fantasy evidence," "Junk science," and outright lies and fraud?

Because the Prosecution could back up their claims, where as JB couldn't... so he had to try to distract not only JA and LDB, but the jury as well.

enough rope and all... the more wound up he got the more ridiculous he sounded in his rabbit hole. JA and LDB had to seriously hold back giggles. LDB was better at it than JA.

I learned that LDB remembers EVERYTHING. She used every critical phrase from the case in her closing. LOVED her bringing back the amazing mother story against ICA. Don't mess with LDB and bring on goofy long shot experts. LDB and JA will make you pay!

I posted this on yesterdays thread on accident, due to not looking at the dates on the threads, so I am moving it here. :)

I have learned that I am much more compassionate and empathetic than I ever thought I was. For three years now I have thought I was waiting for Casey to be convicted and that I would be happy about it. Now, no matter what the verdict is, it is all just so very sad, so, so very sad. Yes, Casey deserves to be punished, I do think she is guilty. George, Cindy, Lee and extended family members will all surely pay the rest of their lives as well. The family of the incarcerated pays almost as much as the convict themselves.

No matter what the verdict is I am sure to be sad and not delighted as I have long expected. Yes, Casey's family may have done some things that I would count as wrong and would never do myself but there is no happy ending here. No way to 'make things right'. This entire group of family and friends have to live with the verdict.

I find no happiness in a verdict of guilty or not guilty, only sadness. The realization of that shocks me.

ETA: The sadness I feel for Caylee and her life being cut short at such an early age is a 'given' so there is no need to expound on that.

I totally understand and relate. When justice came in my daughter's case after 18 long months and the Defendant was found guilty, everyone was celebrating but me. I'd gotten exactly what I wanted and worked so hard for, but I didn't feel good about it like I expected. I just felt empty, sad and conflicted. So many lives had been ruined, including the Defendant's and her family's. The ripples spread far and wide.

I don't remember that, but she has as much chance of getting into law school as a dumb:butthead: that served in the Navy, was a deadbeat dad and had an online bikini company. JMO
