What do we know about KW?

You aren't a a gardener is my guess:D
But wow! This is all adding up to something very strange indeed.

LOL That was my first thought when I read that as well. My Husband and I could have been seen on many occasions going into the woods with a shovel. But they would, no doubt, have to also make note of our vehicle stuffed full and overflowing with wild plantlife. :D

You may have fallen for a web myth which suggested that LE checked that stuff out and determined it was a bomb.

Are you saying LE didn't check that stuff out OR that LE made up it was a bomb for whatever reason?

If you look a little closer at the comment section on his My space, you will see that the dates are all out of whack, and seems to be missing some months of comments....like it has been played with, maybe deleted some?? MO

If that's the case, perhaps he's trying too hard with the "I love Jesus, soft rock and preachers whose wives get thrown off of airplanes" image he's trying to portray?

"Deputies told the teens that what they found was actually a bomb, nothing related the Anthony case."

Yeah, I remember this article. Oh, no big deal kids, just a bomb. Move along now. <sigh> Don't like where this is going.

IIRC I think they said there were other "bombs" just like it found around Orlando..But still, like you said, no big deal! And I don't think they ever did call in the 'Bomb Squad' so I guess it's OK to just leave a "Bomb" there in the woods & thisclose to an elementary school too!

could be, good point!

I just don't believe that LE would find a bomb close to a school and not do more. There was no news announcement that a bomb had been found, there was no closure and search of the school, there was no sweeping of the area to look for more bombs. Nothing.

How did we hear about this bomb? The kids that found this stuff told reporters about it three months later (right after Caylee's remains were found). The kids said that LE told them it was a bomb. I guess LE didn't think it was necessary or appropriate to tell anyone other than the kids that found it. We are talking about a bomb. Does not compute!

I hear ya but I seriously do recall something about similar "bombs" being found in the Orlando area after the kids interview & it came from either the reporter or LE..I wish someone with better skills then me can find it for us? :)

I did question why no "bomb squad"..I do wonder how a rope & stick that won't come out of the ground="bomb"..I don't believe for one second LE would ignore a "bomb" so close to a school..I guess it's possible these kids made it all up but I can't go there until I know for sure I heard wrong about these other "bombs"..There's a chance that won't ever happen & then I have no choice but to be stuck in limbo on this whole "bomb" thing.

Believe it or not, bombs have been found in my former town in Oklahoma. There was a naval base there during WWII. One was found by a school one-half block from me, way up in a tree that was being pruned.

Was it this?

Rocket, Projectiles Found On School Property

July 8, 2008 - ORLANDO, Fla. -- An air-to-ground rocket and new projectiles were found on the grounds of a Central Florida middle school in the same area where live bombs and munitions have already been discovered.

Unless the found "bombs" (or just remnants) are some type of excavating tool and not necessarily carrying a charge, hence why we both remember news about these "bombs" being found on occasion around the city?

snipped

I'm postitive LE said the rope&pipe was related to a BOMB & if I could find the actual report I'd pass it along but I have no clue where to begin..I know one local station did an interview with the kids & it was also stated on there..I may be able to find that for ya!

You are correct, they said there was evidence of a bomb there. I saw the kids in the video, too, but can't remember which TV station it was, since I check all Orlando area stations frequently.

I do remember some talk about "sex activities" related to it, but don't remember if that was an "official" conclusion or hearsay. I do remember thinking, "Huh?".

Definitely, officially, they mentioned the bomb.

Yes, that's what they said, "a bomb". I remember reading it at the time and wondering same as you, why not check it out more thoroughly?

Either these cops are terrible, or, they do things on the QT under cover of darkness so the residents don't go into an uproar. Nevertheless, they seemed to have dropped the ball many times, or they've told "mistruths" to cover their investigations so people wouldn't panic.

I just don't know what to think. Unless these so-called bombs weren't actual live bombs, but something kids were building and were just nicknamed "bombs" but nothing actually explosive.

Thanks for the link about the other munitions.

Pardon me if this has already been ask...but the Officer that said it was a bomb...was that Officer Cain?

The article didn't mention the deputy specifically. It just said "Deputies".

Am I stretching here? Because when I saw that myspace profile, this was the first thing that came to mind.

Striking resemblance. The only difference is KW has very small eye openings, while the drawing has slightly larger ones. It just could be that they couldn't get the eyes as tiny as the real deal. Mighty close match. Mighty close. Has anyone sent these pics to LE?

I've seen other criminals who faces matched their composites extremely closely. In fact, recently three teens killed a woman and their composites looked as though they were pictures of those guys. BTW, their moms saw the drawings on TV and called police, "That's my son". There was no doubt!

It's completely baffling to me that he could say that and no one would follow up.

Was this just a case that the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing? The patrol officers weren't clued in to what they should be doing in this case? This was right down the street from where a child went missing right after Father's Day!!! How could there be a balloon like that in the woods and they wouldn't take it for evidence?

Especially considering Caylee may have had a fathers day balloon.
