WHAT Has Been Said & By WHOM... That Baffles You? (aka Oh No They Didn't!)

  • #441
Here are the things that baffle me:

In the jail visitation tapes, when Lee says to KC "Is this like last time?" What in the world could he be talking about?

Also in the jail visitation tapes/videos, when KC says to George and Cindy "Don't worry, I haven't said anything." Said anything about WHAT?

And more recently, Cindy's assertion that Caylee is still alive.

In one of Casey's visits with Lee... 7/28/08 Lee tells Casey, "I want to give you an opportunity to talk."

Casey's reply, "I don't really have too much to talk about - telling mom and dad about the food - sleeping - reading books - that's kinda been my life."

Yes, that is all she has to talk about while her two-year-old baby is missing... about what she ate, how she slept, how she is reading, and that's her life. She was clearly not concerned about Caylee's life. Boy, this girl makes me so sick!

..on which visitation tape did you hear this?
b/c no-one has been able to find it...

Yes, I too believe that I recall Lee saying to her, "Is this like the last time?" I'm going to try and find that tape and post it.

He did, and two things have been theorized. Either Casey had "kidnapped" Caylee before, held her away from Cindy until Cindy caved in and did what Casey wanted, or she was pregnant before or had a kid before and that kid died too, just like this time, only she didn't get caught and the family cleaned up the mess for her.

I think it was the first one. I think she held Caylee away from Cindy for a week or two, then Cindy did what Casey wanted, and then she let Caylee be with Cindy again. It explains why Cindy thought involving the police would work to get Casey to tell her where Caylee was, and why she still seems to think Caylee is alive somewhere. Calling 911 was Cindy's way of telling Casey, "I'm not playing games with you this time, where is she, give her to me!" I think Lee asking Casey that was a way for him to figure out if something bad had happened to Caylee or if Casey was just hiding her away somewhere and she was okay just like last time. This happening before explains a lot about how the family reacted to this situation. They thought Casey was pulling the wool over their eyes again. This time, however, she wasn't.

Thank you very much Aedrys for confirming that for us. And, I also agree with your opinion on what it was about.

Your are welcome! I'm glad to be of service! And I know there was thread where this was all talked about way back when it first came out, but I don't know where that thread is.

If anyone has an idea where this could be I would love to see it. I am watching the interviews with Lee from the beginning and it is not easy watching KC laugh like she is in a meeting and they are talking about how to get things up to snuff.

Please let me know if you do. Thanks.

My understanding is that Lee asked KC this question, while in the bedroom at their home,"Is this like the last time?" I have also been very curious about this, and I do think that this was not the first time that Caylee had been used as a pawn between KC and Cindy.

Oh, so maybe it is in his interview with Melich, where he basically is very upset with her.

Thank you ForDaniel because if I hear her say "absolutely" or "understandably" one more time, I could blow. Obviously, at the time of these interviews KC did not realize the "gravity" of her situation as I believe she now does. She looks very drawn in Court now and the fact that she has heard these people speaking of the death penalty is no doubt weighing on her, but not enough where she is willing to admit in Court and how it was done.

She is sickening in these interviews. They just enable and enable her lies thinking this is the best course to take because we are dealing with someone who is a sociopath, as Cindy told Ryan Paisley.

The one convo I will never forget is the ramblings of LA and ICA about the Blackjack and the SIM card. Made no sense to me whatsoever, and I just knew IMHO that ICA was lying the entire time.

LEE: Help me with that actually. You said that you referred to it as you ‘black jack’?

CASEY: Yeah, it was a Black Jack. I’d only had it for probably a week, a week and half. It didn’t keep its charge so that’s why I started using that other phone.

LEE: So on the Black Jack, do you remember the phone number that the Black Jack was associated with?

CASEY: It was my same number; I just swapped the SIM card back and forth.

LEE: Ok, um…Here’s how these things work Casey, the contact information, the contact stuff is on your SIM card, so if you switched it back and forth.

CASEY: It doesn’t always save to the SIM card. You can sometimes save things to the SIM card or save it specifically to the phone, it just depends on the way the phone’s set up I thought about that too. The phone that I was currently using, the one I guess that the police still have, or you guys have it, I had set it up after the fact to just save things to my SIM card but you can also save it to just the phone or to the SIM card and the phone so there’s copy’s on both

LEE: So this Black Jack where did you, you said that you reported it missing, give me the information so I can find this phone.

CASEY: I had it (TALKING TO SOMEONE OFF THE PHONE : yes sir, is he ok. Can you ask him to stay there couple of minutes, because we only have…ok thank you). Um Jose’s actually here. Um. (Expletive), ok the last time I know I had it for certain I was up at Universal.

LEE: For work, or for otherwise?

I was in through the park talking to just a couple of mutual friends of….

LEE: So you were up there for fun or whatever?

CASEY: It wasn’t necessarily fun, but yes not through work at that moment…

LEE: I’ve got you, ok, I understand.

CASEY: I know I had it at Jay Blanchard Park, I don’t remember where the very last place is I had it.

blah, blah, blah

Prolly alreadybeen posted - but Caysey's first call to the house.

"They just want Caylee back. That is all they are worried about right now is getting Caylee back," Casey Anthony said. "And you know what, that is all I care about right now."

Then there's the infamous Chili statement:

Rather than talking about Caylee, Casey managed to speak about how miserable she was on Saturday, and how she spent it “reading her bible”:

George: Okay, I’m going to do this on my own and I’ll do this very quickly, okay? So how did you get through last Saturday?

Casey: I didn’t. I spend the day almost completely by myself, with my head under the covers. I read my Bible almost the entire day, it was miserable. It was completely and utterly miserable. Just like I have been the entire time it was the first time outside of our visits that I’ve really shown any emotions. I was open and I didn’t care because I couldn’t hold anything back. I broke down. It was the first time that I truly, truly broke down. And it hurt and I’m still recovering from that. Hearing about the fact that Mom was making chili but there’s probably a bunch of people at the house..

Not a mere word about Caylee.

Mel

Yep...she REALLY caught herself on that one. Even she knew how disgusting and bizarre that sounded.

Also, she hadn't broken down while her daughter was missing for a month?? Good call I totally agree on these. I think these are some of the most damning things she's said. She'll someday wish she just kept her mouth shut.

OK, I am sure I remember that Casey and Caylee had stayed at Ricardo's for nearly a full week earlier in 2008 but I cannot find any reference to it! I agree, I think she had done the same in the past, and had brought Caylee back eventually.

If you lost your daughter, I don't believe you would care one iota about chili or anything else - at least I would not. I would be hanging on by my fingernails and if I did not have other children, I doubt I would make it.

Hi Mrs. Norris,

Ricardo says point blank at the very beginning of his second interview I believe where they want to establish a timeline. And he is asked when KC started staying over and he replies February around that time and they mention Caylee and he says they both stayed and he is asked how long and he says five days a week for months.

I have read this many times so I know it is right. Sooooooooooo, when Cindy and George say she never stayed away before, THEY ARE LYING.

Just past the 3:40 mark. And yes, they absolutely lied as it seems like Caylee stayed away often. Even if you go along with the Zanny story we know Caylee stayed away often. I guess they had figured out the Zanny story was a fabrication and thought it was better to say Caylee hadn't stayed away, not sure why. Actually, I am going to stop trying to make sense of the Anthony's. They lie because it's what they do, if they think for a second that the truth may make them look bad they lie, then they lie on top of those lies to try and seem credible. Crazy making stuff.

This is all coming out at trial. We can watch as Cindy shakes her head no during the proceedings, as she did when Melich was on the stand at the bond hearing saying Cindy said she would not cooperate any longer if he sent a police car to the home where her father was. She shakes her head no and says I never said that. Meanwhile when she is being interviewed by the FBI she states I stared him down at the hearing and I had told him if he sent a car to my Dad's home we would not cooperate anymore.

Yep, and he has no reason to lie; if anything he seems to want to distance himself since he has since moved away.

In listening to Lee talk about Amy, he puts her down time and again to the prosecutors re heroin use, etc. And when he asked KC about her, KC says she is no one to look at - she is a genuine person. As far as Lee is concerned, anything goes. But he is somewhat shocked when the prosecutor asks him if he knew Amy comes from money. His answer is no. He doesn't know her family has money, but he knows she is the lowest form of human around. It doesn't matter that she brought Cindy to KC. There is no limit to any of the Anthonys.

And Amy is the one who told prosecutors that she did not like the fact that KC brought Caylee to parties where there was drinking, etc. So their denying Caylee being around cigarette smoking is another ludicrous Anthony comment.
