What if Casey had given birth to a BOY, instead?

If Casey has no conscious anyone, girl or boy, man or woman, dog or cat, etc. would be at risk. That's really the bottom line IMO.

George would have been in the picture more, maybe that would have changed things. Who knows.

True.

It would have been the same. The only thing is her so called boyfriends may have paid a little more attention to a boy child and she would not have liked that either.

I honestly don't think having a boy would have made any difference at all. Casey wanted to be #1 priority. Even now, that is what she wants to be, everyone's priority..

I don't think Caylee is dead because she wasn't a boy.

I do think the fact Caylee was no longer an infant but a toddler with a growing sense of awareness and VOCABULARY could/would have been a major issue.

I agree completely and I don't believe in the "suggestion" that the underlying proposal prompted by this thread has any basis in fact.

MOO

I don't think it would have made a difference, but it's possible.
I had two sons really young, and my parents kept them a lot while I worked (2 jobs, sometimes.) They grew up with a very strong bond with their g/parents, but I did not resent it to the point of wanting to kill them!
I think there are several underlying reasons why Caylee is dead, some more obvious than others, but it's not just one reason.
Caylee was a burden to her, she couldn't be as free to do what she wanted.
Cindy was becoming more important to Caylee, and vice versa, and Casey was jealous.
Caylee was getting to the age that she was more verbal, could remember places and people and Casey could not take the chance she would "tell on her." Plus, there were places she needed to be that she couldn't take Caylee all the time. And there was no nanny/babysitter other than Cindy.
Could be more than just these, and sadly, we may never know the real story.

It seems that there were just so many "reasons" that things went against Caylee--it's almost like the perfect storm. It's so sad.
