What is Misty hiding, IF anything?

What is Misty Hiding?

Depends how you look at it. I was always told it was the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth... haven't seen anything about it having different versions.

I think it should be amended to the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth and the same truth every time.

I like that one. Can I send it to some of our infamous polititians who have the same problem?

It is obvious to me at least, that someone has come forward with the story that Haleigh was somewhere getting hight or we would not be discussing this now. Cobra also stated that he had discovered this information by investigation and speaking with everyone and anyone in the area. The "rumor" seems to be coming from more than one source per the "rumor mill" and the PI's comments. I find it very believable, myself. But, I think that she came back to the house with someone and was caught by Haleigh "bouncing" on the couch with the someone.

Hmmm. Your post certainly gives me more to think about. It's possible, as you state, that Haleigh became a witness to something Ron was never supposed to know about. Haleigh, in Misty's eyes, had to be eliminated - whether being taken somewhere and kept or disposed of.
This account makes a neat, all tied up package, I think.
But then again what about RJ? Did he remain asleep?
It's all a puzzle.

I know a lot of people have speculated that the couch bouncing was something x-rated but I'm wondering what if the "man with the squeaky shoes" fought with MC and threw her onto the couch. I just don't know if MC would be on the couch doing that if Jr was on it. What do you guys think?

IDK. Could Jr. have simply slept on it and felt the couch vibrating if the person had heavy footsteps when walking past, maybe bumping against the couch?

yea that could be. idk does a kid Jr's age know the difference between a bounce and a bump ya know. Probably not.

Children in Jr. age group are very literal with the vocabulary they have. I think the couch was bouncing

... snipped ....

However, what is being concealed may not have anything directly to do with Haleigh being missing. Even if a complete stranger took Haleigh, there might be things that MC and RC felt they needed to conceal. Let's say there were drugs or some other incriminating evidence of an unrelated crime in the house, they might feel those things have to be hidden before calling 911 and it might explain the inconsistency about how long it took to call, and the relatives might agree that they didn't particularly want this information out.

What if drugs were also stolen? This would be something R and M could not tell LE or the public. Just speculating . . .

I voted she was covering for Ron. I was on the fence about this til I saw mthe Today show interview and at 7:04 when Misty is asked why there were inconsistancies, watch her left arm nudge Ron ever so slightly. That nudge to me says, "hey, you answer this, you put me in this position" she even looks at Ron for an answer before she says "I don't know."

The thing that bothers me about this vid besides what you mentioned is Ron's response to the question about his marriage to Misty. He keeps saying it is nobody's business what he does in his personal life and does not think it is fodder for national TV. He said, my child is missing and that is what should be on TV not what I do in my personal life.

Okay but your child is MISSING! That should be your personal life right now, it should be encompassing everything about your life right now. Every minute of your life should be devoted to finding your missing daughter.
The distinction he is making between Haleigh missing and his personal life bothers me. There is no distinction or at least there shouldn't be.....you know?

I honestly don't think Misty is hiding anything ..

What if drugs were also stolen? This would be something R and M could not tell LE or the public. Just speculating . . .

But it is something LE would need to know, their child is missing it is time to bite the bullet and tell everything they know whether they think it is important or not, let LE sort it all out. LE isn't spilling to much to the public so we wouldn't have to know but they definately need to know every little thing that went on for the last 48 in the house, in their lives.

I hope that I am wrong ... but with Misty's conflicting stories, evasiveness and the addition of this Greg person ... I have a feeling that Haleigh woke up while he was there and she saw whatever was going on ... sex or maybe drugs ... or both. Haleigh said "I'm gonna tell my daddy" ... and one or both of them did something to her. I just have a really sick feeling that it is going to be something like this ... maybe Misty didn't do anything to hurt Haleigh but is being threatened if she tells.

maybe haleigh walked in on her with the guy that was making the couch bounce

If a guy did come and see Misti at the trailer he could have brought a buddy along with him who took Haleigh. One problem with dopers is they always have all sorts of friends coming and going out of their lives who may be thieves or pedophiles. I also hope LE has checked on who Misti may have been texting with or talking to online. One of those guys could have conned her into giving out personal info or seen Hayleigh in the background and in pics.

I severly doubt this. Children Haleigh's age usually don't know what sex is. My husband and I have 8 year old twins and they don't know what sex is. Same goes with drugs. I think it's more likely that Haleigh was picked up and moved from the couch to the bedroom. Jr. may have seen Haleigh being moved from one location to the other. Misty's visitor could have moved the child. If Jr. saw this, naturally he would assume this is the man that took his sissy. Or, the couch bouncing woke Jr. which is when he saw this stranger with Misty on the couch. Or, Misty was possibly passed out and the visitor took advantage of her on the couch and then kidnaped Haleigh. JMO

You post made me think. Suppose if Misty did have someone over and Haleigh woke up and caught them messing around. She is old enough to talk and tell Ron, so maybe her missing is to Misty's advantage and that is why she doesn't want to help find her.

I think that Misty and Ronald are both involved. No matter how hard I try, I cannot get past that 911 call and Misty and Ronald's words. The 911 tape has been rehashed too many times, but my immediate reaction was that Ronald was way over the top and now Misty is trying to stick with what Ronald has told her to say. Problem is, she cannot get her script straight because it is a lie, IMO. If she were telling the truth, her story would have never been so inconsistent.

Just the way I see it.

I agree. I definitely think the 'b*tch' comment was contrived.
