Please, would someone direct me to a transcript of LE saying that MC was the key and had given inconsistent statements to LE?
alltherella - much thanks! Hope that clears up some thoughts about MC's multiple polygraphs.
I agree it's gone on too long, and wish an arrest would be made. But maybe Misty isn't the one to arrest. We all know that Ron was at work at the time of the alleged disappearance---what we don't really know is what happened before he went to work. Could Misty be covering for the guy who took her in, gave her a home, gave her a family? Did anyone really see the children on the porch, as reported? (At the time they were said to have been seen, by either the g-gma or "people" she sent, it was dark, cool, and really kind of close to bedtime, if they were bathed and changed.)http://www.cbs47.com/mediacenter/[email protected]&navCatId=5
I feel this has gone on way too long too.I feel they need to arrest misty.I feel misty knows alot more than she is saying. At first I thought she was just passed out some where and didn't wake up when Haleigh was taken.I'm starting to think she may have harmed her herself.Misty needs to talk.
From today:
"Hardy also said Misty Croslin Cummings is the key to the investigation because she was the last one who saw Haleigh on February 9.
Hardy said there are still inconsistencies in Misty's story about that night.
He said some of the brightest minds in law enforcement have spoken to Misty and still have not been able to get a clear understanding of what happened Feb. 9th.
Haleigh's mother's attorney, Kim Picazio, told First Coast News she and her staff have talked to eyewitnesses who saw Misty partying outside of the home that night.
Hardy said his office has received information from Picazio."

Thanks to Angel Who Cares for posting this in the updates thread.
Wonder why Kim had to give Hardy's office the info. All the witnesses who say they saw Misti out partying that night should have already told LE. If LE has this information then why aren't they proving it and charging Misti with leaving the kids if they were unattended.
I agree with many of you in that Misty is the key, I just don't think that she's the only key. I believe Ron may be the other. I have no elaborate theories, all I have is a bunch of bad feelings and hunches that Ron and Misty know way more than they are telling. I have been fruistrated with this case more times than I can count, I am impatient with LE and wish they could haul the guilty in...but, my frustration doesn't matter in this. I guess it's coming down to what LE knows and what they can prove. Just because there is a lot of suspicious behavior, doesn't mean LE has a case. I can only hope there is a break soon, where ever that break leads I don't much care. Haleigh deserves justice.
Sorry if this is a rerun question...but did Misty have a vehicle that night?
SATSUMA, Fla. - Sitting in the driveway of Misty Cummings former home is a van driven by her sister in law. The light blue vehicle doesn’t look like anything out of the ordinary, but it was something investigators thought important enough to impound and analyze at their crime lab for weeks.
The woman who drives that van is Misty Cummings sister-in-law Chelsea Croslin. Misty was the last person to see Haleigh the night she was taken. Croslin says the family got the van back just before the weekend. “They put a lot of tape on it, and there was a lot of white powder on the windows, I guess that’s just to check things,” said Croslin.
“We all started thinking about what could have happened that night…I realized the van was in a different spot.”
Croslin says the night Haleigh disappeared, a family member was staying with them. She says around 4am when Misty called them to tell them Haleigh was missing, they went outside to the van to drive to Haleigh’s home. Croslin says she immediately noticed the van was not in the same spot she left it. “I know I don’t park like that, and I was the last to drive the van.”
After a few hours, another sign the van was tampered with appeared. “The day Haleigh went missing, everyone was looking for her…she (Misty) called me later that night and said Chelsea, please tell me you’re the one who put the scratch in my van. I started crying and told her there’s no way I put the scratch in her van.”
A scratch leading from just behind the driver’s side door handle to the back tire is very visible. Croslin says that scratch was not there the last time she drove it. “The scratch---it runs all the way down the van. That’s something someone would know if you’re riding against something and steadily scratching it.”
All police would say about the van being impounded is that it was taken to the FDLE’s crime lab in Jacksonville, analyzed, then released. They would not comment on any specifics of what was searched, or if anything was found in the van.
Croslin believes the only explanation is that at some point during the night Haleigh was taken, the family member staying with her took the van. Police say they have tracked that man down and questioned him. They also say he has not been ruled out as a suspect.
“I’m not accusing anybody…it’s just me being a mom and believing what I believe and piecing things together, I almost feel like might know who it is,” said Croslin."

The Croslin quoted in the above article is Chelsea Croslin and the owner of the blue van said to be driven by Chelsea is in fact Misty. So while Chelsea indeed offers ONE explanation--the visiting cousin--this is IMO not the ONLY explanation or at any rate the only complete explanation... since clearly Misty herself could have presumably used her own van that nite, or both she and visiting cousin could have used together. There was therefore at least one vehicle of which we're aware to which Misty had access during that nite/early am hours (Chelsea lives w/in walking distance of Cummings).
Tho I posted on Misty thread, I will share this here. My initial impression was that Misty is just Crystal, seven or so years ago--and in some respects (idolization of, dependency upon Ron, lack of education and empowerment etc) this may still be true. However I've since changed that overall impression based upon further observations.
I now no longer think this young girl is as naive, innocent nor quite the wide-eyed fawn she's portrayed herself to be. It's hard for me to get why people go on defending a girl who (if we give dad the benefit of doubt here) while he's at work entrusting his children to her is reportedly off partying w and possibly doin some other guy; nor why Ron, let alone his family, are so taken in by her. I now consider her to be more cunning by nature than Crystal's ever been IMO. Yes her predecessor Crystal could have done more earlier to empower herself, instead of learned helplessness and participation at one time w Ron in drugs etc too. But there is something much more street smart about Misty--and depending upon any degree of involvement or participation in this troubling case, something potentially far more devious and even dangerous. sorry...but there were some inaccuracies in the reporting on the van.
The van is owned by Lindsy Croslin (married to Tommy) who resides at *** Tyler St.
Chelsea Croslin (married to Timothy) borrowed the van that weekend. Cousin Joe Overstreet stayed at Chelsea's home...that's why they thought he may have taken the van during the night. Chelsea returned the van to Lindsy when they learned Haleigh was missing and came to town to be with Lindsy/Misty/, etc....That's when Lindsy noticed the scratch in her van.
Misty did not own the blue van.
:banghead:
Forgive me and thank you txsleuth! I should've known better than to rely on news reports for accuracyThat leaves us right back at square one. Except I now know (I think) that Chelsea and Timmy lived out of town correct? So it likely would have to be JO whThanks I'll have to edit my post I thought both bros were both close. So van (owned by Lindsy, borrowed by Chelsea) was NOT w/in close proximity, so would have entailed cousin driving over and getting Misty if Misty had access to van that nite... right? :waitasec: "kiki"
arrot:
Well, the van would have been on Tyler, since it appears that Chelsea was at Lindsay's house. Tyler isn't that far a walk. But I have yet to see anything that proves the cousin borrowed the van at all.
Okkaayy... lol. SO, the van owned by Lindsy, borrowed by Chelsea, driven back to where it was parked that nite at Lindsy's anyway and found reparked the next am where JO also happened to be in town spending the nite (and found early the next am at Cummings mh) was in actuality w/in proximity of JO and Misty that nite, have I got it straight now? Oy... JMO
