1. The Sodder children dissappearance - Dec 24, 1945 Fayetteville, West Virginia. It's a really old case, but maybe one day we'll learn what really happened. I'll never believe they died in that fire.

Probably too far gone but still dreaming of closure on sexual assault and murder of Stevie Johnson, Mother’s Day 1966 in Bethesda, Md. (Montgomery County).

I frequently drive by the spot where they found his little body and it still haunts me. I was about the same age as he was when he was killed — so it’s been decades of sadness. It was and is so real for me. His parents have passed on but not his siblings.

**Missing women/Mothers’ whom I believe were killed by their Spouse and bodies’ were dumped somewhere/hidden.
May all of these women/Mothers’ remains one day be found so they can be laid to rest properly as they rightfully deserve:
Stacy Peterson- Spouse DP currently in prison convicted of murdering one of his previous wives

Susan Powell- Spouse JP committed suicide, and also sadly and horrifically killed their two little boys

Jennifer Dulos- Spouse FD committed suicide while out on bond awaiting trial for Jennifer’s disappearance and presumed death

Maya Millete- Spouse LM currently incarcerated awaiting trial for Maya’s disappearance and presumed death

Ana Walsh- Spouse BW currently incarcerated awaiting trial for Ana’s disappearance and presumed death

Mamta Kafle Bhatt- Spouse NB currently incarcerated awaiting trial for Mamta’s disappearance and presumed death

Suzanne Simpson- Spouse BS currently incarcerated awaiting trial for Suzanne’s disappearance and presumed death.

My sincere hope and wish is for families and loved ones of missing and murdered victims’ across the world to hopefully receive answers and justice served for their loved ones.

No, I disagree with it. I'm pretty sure he did it. But because he was acquitted, I consider it legally and technically "unsolved." I'm sorry he wasn't punished while he was still alive, but since he "unalived" himself, it looks like he was living in a personal hell the rest of his days.

I like the idea of this thread, @Tricia. Very interesting question.

I’ll catch up when I can later on, but although cases such as Jon-Benet and Madelyn McCann haunt, I’d have to say it’s Mitch and Bonnie still missing from the 1970s. I knew them from high school. They went to a concert in upstate NY and were never seen again. They are the longest open case of missing teenagers.

Googling updates on their case brought me to WS.

When we were all 15, we'd thought they’d run off to be together. That was the rumor. Here we are when they’d now be in their 60s. Not a trace of them in all these years.


Etan Patz, too. His dad was sure it was the one guy, then finally a different guy was arrested, and though he earlier confessed he is now retracting that confession.

So many already mentioned, mostly children. I would also like the Alphabet murders in Rochester, NY ('71-'73) solved. I was about the same age as the girls. Wanda was found 1 mile from my house in Webster (nothing like that had ever happened in our area). We moved to TX soon after, but I have never forgotten about Carmen and Wanda. I was gone when Michelle was killed. Also, the Fort Worth Trio (1974) as I know someone closely related to Rachel & it happened about a year after I moved to TX.
