What was Casey's plan?

I agree with most of the posters that say the murder was done in a fit of rage and then she developed the story. However, I still have doubts on this theory because how convenient for her to have a ZFG in the 'background' that she could pin it on.... Where did the ZFG plan come into place? A year and half before right? Seems like something was cooking before the 16th.

1. I'm beginning to think Zani was a fictitious person KC aspired to be. She was rich, single, and a nanny.
2. Plan? I don't think KC had one. She lived her life in 10-minute spurts.
