But the question doesn't match the topic. What are we after here? Is it me? I have had a bad day.
I have to say that I was surprised to see this thread. It's refreshing and great to see that there are people out there who do have compassion for others and can see what this family has gone through. I’ve really began to lose faith in society after seeing how some of the public were attacking them. I have posted before, that no matter what transpired with this family they have gone through hell and after this is long over for all of us and we move onto another story in the news and go through our daily lives, they will have to live the rest of their lives with the pain of losing their granddaughter, having their daughter accused of murder and knowing that every bit of their lives have been ridiculed and scrutinize by complete strangers. Although I do agree that they didn’t always use their best judgment and may have even hindered the case against Casey at times, I believe everything they did was out of love for their family and the one ounce of hope they had that their daughter didn’t do the horrible crime in which she is accused.
I’ve never felt that they were involved in Caylee’s death and I believe they will continue to support Casey although they in their hearts that she is to blame. I only hope that one day they will be able to find a way to live through the pain of everything they lost as well as the stigma that will probably follow them forever.
This of course is my opinion and like everyone else I am entitled to it, this is not to say that I think someone else is wrong for feeling the way they do.
Hi Bean, The 'recent events' throws the meaning of the title off IMO. Maybe it could have been something like 'How will Cindy react at the trial towards Casey'.
Hi Who_What_When, Thanks for your great post.
When I came into this case, knowing very little, I sensed posters thought Cindy was trying to steer the public away from her daughters possible involvement in the case. Coming from the Madeleine McCann case where the parents did everything they could to appear innocent and yet didn't act like the normal parent would who had lost their child, I saw shades of McCannism's starting to appear in Caylee's case.
Now I don't believe these parents had anything to do with Caylee's murder. They might have reacted in an arrogant manner at times, esp with the press. But I try to put myself in their place. I can not imagine the agony of suspecting or even coming to realize that your daughter might have killed her own little girl and hidden the body. Unfathomable.
I am going to try and keep my mind open to giving the 'A's some grace. They have had to deal with allot thru the process. This is one case where most TH's I have heard say is almost a done deal for conviction of Casey. The 'A's still have a long road to go. And if they made some mistakes, their obvious love for little Caylee should show in their stead.
XOX
She will either be key for the prosecution if they choose to use her, if she takes a deal to save herself.
or,
She will not play an active role-but if she thinks that Baez and KC are going to let her off, she is mistaken. I'm sure Baez will use emotional abuse or whatever to try to explain his client's behavior away. KC will be a victim of CA by the time Baez is done (I by no means think KC is a victim, she could have moved out b/f she became pregnant).

I heard she's in Tampa right now. She probably wants to be with family, and since Lee is there and the only one she can visit right now, I would assume that's the reason why.
Hi to you too!!! I agree. I'm not saying I think their actions were the smartest or even good at times, but I have to think they weren't & aren't in their "right" mind to even care how they were preceived. I think they had two goals in all of this, one to find their grandaughter alive and two, to keep their family together. It has to be crushing to them to lose both. This is why I think they will still stand by Casey because they have nothing left, but I have no doubt (no matter what they say in the public) that in their hearts they know the truth about their daughter. We have to remember that it was Casey who did all of this including tearing her family apart with all her lies and actions. I hope to god that one day she realizes the pain and hurt she has caused everyone around her. Unfortunately I don't think she ever will.
Going to the Superbowl with JB and GR.

.....Cindy has been so maligned for no reason other than being a caring grandma.
What do you think will happen with her, now, and for the trial?
