Exactly. I checked out Gerry's blog, and there is absolutely no mention of any of this. All he talks about is missing person organizations and the volunteer work going on within these groups for awareness. On the 11th he did mention a tiny little blip of sympathy for Mari Luz's family:

Kate and I were so sad to learn that Mari Luz’s body had been found. This is the news that at any parent of a missing child dreads and a situation we desperately hope that we never have to face. We deeply sympathise with her family and pray they remain strong and in time are able to find peace.

I have no idea what Gerry means here. Does he hope to never find Madeleine if she is found in a lake? (dead, like Mari?) Or, hopes to never find her at all, (deceased)? He'd just rather desperately hope she's alive somewhere with the evil kidnapper? Is this his reason for being "furious" they are searching the lake?. Don't you just love how he speaks for all parents of missing children? I would think that parents of missing children would feel terribly sad to find their child dead, but wouldn't it somehow bring closure and a sence of peace eventually? Why would you be sad they found her? Sad they found her dead, I could see...but that is not what he said. :waitasec:
