Which case am I thinking of?

Hi everyone, first post so apologies if I don’t get it right! I read about a case ages ago where a university student was killed (I think she was found in a lake) and her boyfriend/former boyfriend was arrested. I think he was from quite a well renowned family and that there was a rumour she had been pregnant at the time. It was down south. Can anyone tell what case I’m thinking of please as I can’t remember names and wanted to see what happened. Thanks!

I'm actually impressed with my own sleuthing skills and that I managed to find it it's not a case I've heard of before! I'll be following the thread now though!
