(CNN) -- Hazardous materials teams and a bomb squad responded Friday after white powder was found at three hotels near the site of the Super Bowl, New Jersey authorities said.

Hotels Near Super Bowl Stadium Get Letters With Suspicious Powder

Three hotels near the New Jersey stadium hosting the Super Bowl have received envelopes containing a suspicious white powder, NBC 4 New York has learned.

A law enforcement source tells NBC 4 New York that the hotels, none of which are housing the teams playing at MetLife Stadium, received the envelopes Friday.

The FBI in Newark said the Joint Terrorism Task Force and hazmat units were responding, and said no injuries had been reported.

In New York, authorities also were investigating the contents of a letter sent to the Manhattan office of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, two law enforcement officials said.

In New Jersey, the site of Sunday’s Super Bowl, an unidentified substance was delivered to two hotels in Carlstadt and one in East Rutherford, said Jeanne Baratta, chief of staff at the Bergen County Executive’s Office.

According to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports 1, the FBI is involved and the investigation involves multiple scenes.
