White Truck Focus and second person in truck.

The public didn't even know of the existance of this person before today. How are they supposed to indentify them?

I think this is an intentional leak and LE is giving the person until Wednesday to come forward and tell the truth about where they were that morning. I'm pretty sure LE knows who was in the truck. Would LE release a composite drawing or description on Wednesday when they could have released that info a long time ago? I think this is a ploy. JMO

PORTLAND, Ore. -- KGW has learned that investigators are trying to determine the identity of a person who was seen sitting in the truck Terri Horman was driving the day Kyron Horman disappeared.

According to several sources in the Skyline community including people who have spoken with investigators, the person was seen by at least two people while Terri was in the school with Kyron.

Investigators have gone through Terri's cell phone and email records trying to establish who the person was.

They have asked people about the person during the course of the investigation as they try to determine who these witnesses - who investigators believe are credible - saw.
================

I hope we're getting to the bottom of this!!!

Sorry if someone has already discussed this[hadn't had chance to read entire thread] but nonetheless its still gonna be my opinion that I think I now know why I never could place baby K being in Skyline that morning of the SF. I really never thought she was[the many we heard from one of them would have mentioned baby K].. I now am thinking its a very good possibility that in those few minutes they were in the SF that baby K stayed in the truck with whomever this "other" person was that has been placed in the truck by atleast two eyewitnesses.JMO

Thanks for the link. We aren't sleuthing him because Blink is not an approved source on Websleuths.

Plus, read what the article says: then whoever the landscaper is, he now must live with the possibility that if he’d reported Terri six months ago, Kyron might never have disappeared.

It looks to me as though WW isn't even confirming his identity. As far as we know, he is an innocent party.

Don't sleuth him for all the above reasons. Thanks!

Thank you for this... I didn't know what blogger the Beanster was referring to, and now it's clearer. I don't go anywhere but WS really so apparently miss a lot... lol

Thx agn! \m/

You are just missing gossip and rumors. :)

BTW, we have some AWESOME locals here and I'd rather hear stuff from the source, but that's just me! :grouphug:

I agree - this feels like the walls are closing in on these people and the police are making one more push to force them to spill what they know.

I think LE has done a great job keeping this close to the vest and letting other people lie and lie while they knew it all along.

ETA: The point is - Terris' and DeDe's stories just haven't jived with what the people at the school and elsewhere were saying.

I wrote weeks ago that DeDe's alibi must suck or we wouldn't still be talking about her. Now this is making more and more sense - she never told cops in the beginning that she was at the school!

To me this explains why the phones are so important, and it also makes me wonder if they found some new evidence over the weekend. I'm just praying that and arrest is coming soon.

A thought just occurred to me. I don't have kids, and don't really know how they are at that age - but would the baby have willingly (ie, without crying or otherwise raising a ruckus that might have been noticed) stayed in the truck with a stranger - or would it have to have been someone she was familiar with?

(Assuming, of course, that the baby actually did stay in the truck.)

That's why I hang my hat here, girl... lol DITTO! :D

I learned my lesson when I first started here (omg... I think my WS anniversary is coming up) and rode on a van during the Caylee case. Other sites are messy, give me viruses, have wild theories based on feelings, etc. I like making my own decisions, never been a follower, always rolled my own way, and WS lets me do that. I'm an oddball, and I fit here, and that's rare. LOL :)

Well, lemme tell you my situation with that. I have twin girls. Polar opposites. If that same situation with a baby girl would happen with my twin girls (and most of the cases I put myself in the situation of what would I do), one of them is more outgoing and wouldn't mind. The other one would be crying prolly because she's more attached and less prone to hang out with strangers. So, you see, it's a mixed bag and depends on the child. And I have no idea what Baby K is like...

One more thing before I go to bed (10:11 @ night here in P-town)... just saw this:

...."The sheriff's office plans to release further "case details" Wednesday regarding the reported sighting of an unknown adult in the Horman pickup in the school's parking lot while Terri Horman was inside the school from about 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. She told investigators that is the last time she saw Kyron."

we might have an actual newsworthy presser on Wed!!!

So, what would the role of this person be in the car (if there was someone else)? To babysit baby K? And then what? Terri comes back to get in the truck, and then later Kyron gets back in? So four people in the truck now.. and then after this.. what do they do?

If it was Dede, she gets dropped off at work? Then Terri runs her errands and drives "rural" roads, and since this is the time unaccounted for.. something happens to Kyron here? If it wasn't to harm him physically...then maybe along these roads she met with someone (3rd person) and they took Kyron in their car somewhere?

She calls Dede on her batphone, Dede answers on her batphone.. she meets with Dede (have we confirmed the leaving property or still being on the property yet?), they talk about what happened and decide to get rid of the phones there?

If it's NOT Dede... during the rural drive... she drops the person off at his/her car, they take Kyron somewhere, maybe a place Dede knows of?

*shrug*

Even IF Terri were to argue she was rescuing Kyron & her daughter from BOTH Kaine & Desiree, and starting a new life with all her children somewhere alone and safe and underground... (for example) ... Terri would have by now been forced to come clean with her story, and with where Kyron is.

Terri giving up Baby K so easily ... confirms further that Kyron does not exist anywhere for her to produce and cut any sort of deal with.

I just had another wild thought. What if TH's initial plan was to take BOTH Kyron and the baby that morning and run off with them and the mystery person in the truck? Could something have happened to make her change her plan and have the other person just take Kyron? If cell phones were indeed bought that day, they might have become necessary due to the change in plans.

I am very very confused about this whole Baby K in the car situation. Is it confirmed that Terri did NOT take Baby K in the school for the exhibit? I can't even imagine how one would begin to explain leaving an 18 month old alone in a car for half an hour .... So if Baby K was left behind and this mysterious second person was in the truck with Baby K, why? Why would they be there? And how could Terri possibly think no one would ask about that?

And why WOULDN'T Terri take the baby in with her? I'm baffled.

If the baby was asleep it probably wouldn't matter who was in the truck.

If the baby woke up and saw a stranger, though, all hell would break loose and she would probably cry and get hysterical without her mother being there.

All kids are different, but even young babies will notice a stranger and react with fear - it's a survival mechanism. My kids always had what they call "separation anxiety" at that age and would become very shy even around other family members such as uncles and aunts. To me that's normal behavior.

So, either the baby was asleep the whole time, or the person in the truck wasn't a stranger.

I am trying to wrap my brain around this one, so what is being reported now? have these 2 witness just come forward now and told investigators that they just remembered seeing a white truck with someone sitting in it or is this something that LE has known and is just revealing today?? and to add insult to injury, LE is saying they will reveal details in an effort to enlist the public's help for more info on WEDNESDAY???? why not release it now?? makes it kinda feel like Kyron is not really all that important, hmm, Monday, nah not monday my schedule is kinda full, and we can't do it Tuesday 'cause I've already made plans to kayak with my girlfriends, Wednesday well I guess wednesday is good I was suppose to go to lunch with a good friend i used to work with but I guess I can reschedule that if I have to.

Any chance they want to wait until somebody testifies for the GJ? Weren't the courthouse upper floors restricted access till Wednesday?

With one of my kids it would have depended on whether the stranger had a beard or not.

That brings up a good point too - my kids were much more fearful of strange men than women. Maybe it was the sound of the male voice or something, but unless a guy was their Daddy they wouldn't have anything to do with him.

I'll have to go look for it, but I thought someone just confirmed that Terri did have Baby K at the science fair exhibit.

ETA I can't find this information, so it could be I "misremembered" -- thought a fellow parent confirmed. -- but so far I can't back that up, so take with grain of salt. I'm still looking, though.

To me it would be even stranger if Terri took the baby in with her but had someone sitting in her truck alone! Too weird!

At least the "babysitting Baby K" theory makes more sense!

It is strange that in her email she doesn't mention Baby K being at the science fair (or a person being in her truck) but she does mention that the teacher thought she was taking Kyron to an appointment with Baby K, which makes it sound like the baby was with them.
