I mean really... at least two un-named witness told the same several un-named sources who then told these reporters - that they saw a mystery person in terri's truck - two months ago.

or did the two reporters wait two months before reporting it.

If Terri and Mystery Person were there before Terri and Kyron went to the science fair, why? Where was Kyron at the time? In the truck with them? How early was this?

Did Terri have a conference with the Mystery Person during the time she supposedly was at the science fair?

If it was after Terri left the science fair how did she have time to chat before going shopping at FM at 9:12? Did she go to FM and get back and have a chat with Mystery Person at the parking lot after the shopping? Did they take Kyron then? If they did, why wasn't he reportedly seen after Terri left the first time?

I don't understand anything any more.

Edited to add that I don't find it impossible at all that some people might have seen MP in the truck with Terri and some other people might have seen MP in the truck without seeing Terri. If MP came or left with her and waited for a while when Terri was gone it would be quite easy to have different sightings.

I'm confused.Was the person with her in the truck or seen in her truck while she was in the school.If someone didn't see someone else with Terri.Maybe the white truck someone saw someone in was not terri's truck and it just looked like hers.What does the LS white truck look like?At the very beginning I thought Terri and Kaine did something to Kyron together.They both blew off the reporter together.Maybe Kaine was in her truck.I'm not convinced of his time line yet.Do they know if it was a man or woman in the truck ect...I'm still just not convinced Terri is the poopatrator yet LOL.

Perhaps it was both. Perhaps one witness saw her with someone in her truck, while another saw that same someone waiting for her in the truck? I guess that's possible. I was about to say they are a whole lot of white F250's in Oregon, and maybe this person saw someone else sitting in a white F250 waiting for his wife or something and thought it was TH's truck, but obviously if someone is sure they saw TH with someone in her truck then that can't be. This case is just getting more bizarre by the day. Poor Kyron caught in the middle of all this bizarre behavior.

I think it is mostly to rule out false leads. If they say it was a man or a woman, anyone can come out and say, "Yeah, I saw him/her." But if they keep that part secret, it reduces the ability for someone to claim they saw him/her if they really didn't.

I'm wondering if they're saying adult to see what kind of reaction they get. The term "adult" has a wide range to it - technically an adult is 18 years of age or older. Do they mean adult as in someone close to Terri's age so they looked like an adult? Or could it be someone older? Or maybe someone younger than that, but still considered an adult? Or is this person that could be mistaken for an adult? I can't seem to get a clear feeling for what they're doing here and I find it weird that there's this unknown adult that they haven't identified yet that was in her truck. Maybe they got a tip they think is legit and are trying to make sure it is?

I think this has to do with Terri's email that said Kyron was seen with an "adult male chaperone" at the chaotic science fair.

But if the only tips that LE is getting are about Terri and another woman with red hair, then they know the story about the man is a crock to deflect guilt from TH and DD.

I agree with Etilema and Calliope, but in addition I think they may not want the adult in question to know exactly what they know. By not specifying the gender of the person seen it could suggest to that person that the witnesses did not get a close enough look to identify the gender, thus giving the adult in question a false sense of security that LE is not as close to figuring out their identity as they actually are.
