Multnomah County investigators have asked the public to contact them if they saw a white Ford F250 pickup truck in a handful of specific areas on the morning Kyron Horman disappeared from Skyline School.

Rod Underhill, a chief deputy district attorney, said at least one witness came forward and reported that a person -- or persons -- associated with the truck was seen between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the area of Springville, Skyline, Germantown, Old Germantown and Newberry roads on June 4.

Investigators said they're also asking if anyone saw the pickup at a Fred Meyer store off Cornelius Pass Road in Hillsboro and at a Fred Meyer store off Walker Road in Beaverton.

Finally, investigators also asked that anyone who may have parked their car in the south side of the Skyline School parking lot from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. on June 4 to call the sheriff's office tip line.

BBM: I have to wonder if there is more importance placed on one location than the other?

“We’re going to put out pieces of information in order to help people remember and as we develop new leads in the case, we develop new locations based on that information,’ Capt. Jason Gates with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office explained during the Wednesday morning press conference.

Two photos showed the white pickup truck, at two different angles, parked in front of Skyline Elementary School, where Kyron was last seen.

Two additional photos showed two views of the same truck parked on a side street also located in front of Skyline.

And yet another photo showed a large parking lot at Skyline.

Does anyone have good pictures of the boards shown at the presser today?????

I wonder if maybe the "witness" who has come forward to place a "person or persons associated with the truck" in one of these locations..... is someone who may not be deemed as very credible. Such as an accomplice of some kind? Or someone who might possibly have a reason to dislike the "person or persons associated with the truck."

So they may believe the witness but may want additional ones, for the sake of a jury who may wonder about the motives of that specific witness.

Something just occurred to me. When the truck went in for mechanical work - could they have legally impounded it, since it was in Kaine's name, if he gave permission, and sent back a different truck? And Kaine knows that, and that's why he feels okay about driving around in the truck?

Maybe I need to ask this in the lawyer thread.
(From the PC thread.)

Absolutely this is possible. If they got the same exact make, model, year, with all the same badges and stickers on it.

As long as they could then find the same 3 stickers that are in the back window... make up for any fading/aging that may have been on the old ones...or remove the old ones and put them on the new truck. I wouldn't think they would want to remove the back window from the old truck because of the evidence it might contain...but they could do that too.

Those stickers are really the only distinctive thing so as long as they could figure that out, they could definitely switch the trucks.

The articles are making alot of references to "Kaine's White Truck". Hmmm.

We're going to put out pieces of information in order to help people remember," Captain Gates.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office investigators say tips reveal that Kaine's white pickup was seen in two different locations around Skyline Elementary School between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. that day. They're asking anyone who saw the truck or was in or around it to call their tip line.

Detectives also said they want anyone who parked in the school's south side parking lot to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and leave information about the make, model, and color of their car in order to know who else parked by Kaine's white pickup that morning.

Hopefully those close-up pictures of the truck will jar someone's memory. It puts the truck in a better perspective, IMHO. Like showing the writing on the side. Someone may have seen SOMETHING and not connected it but this will remind them.

I just want Kyron to come home.

Do you suppose it is possible they have fingerprints or some kind of DNA in the truck that may match to DeDe?

You can hear the Audio of the Presser at this link.

The truck was reportedly spotted around 9:00 that morning at the Fred Meyer on Northwest Imbrie Drive in Hillsboro, just off Cornelius Pass. A second sighting came an hour later at the Walker Road Fred Meyer in Beaverton.

Authorities also seek information from drivers who parked in the areas of Springville, Skyline, Germantown, Old Germantown and Newberry Roads on the day of the science fair. Those people are asked to call the tip line at (503) 261-2847.

Well if there was a mystery person in the truck, and if it was DS and if they planned all of this out the most logical place to search would be the 40 acre's DS was working on... Pre-planned, you could hide a body there very well. Containers so the dogs would not hit, the whole nine yards. And I would imagine there is all kind of dirt work going on there all the time.

I don't know if this has been addressed...but the white truck photos..I am seeing on HLN now..are these photos of the truck actually Kaine's truck? If so maybe they took photos of the truck in various locations while the truck was in the "shop". Just wondering. Maybe its a stupid question. I am in severe back pain today so sometimes my thinking isn't real clear. One more thing....My <3 is breaking over this among other cases..how can these women who are not POI's (right) not tell what they know? I can never understand. Poor Kyron. Please tell what you know and end this family's pain.

BBM, I've been wondering about that too. I hope you feel better soon!

The first time I read about that door near Kyron's classroom, it was mentioned that it was an exit door, and nobody could enter it from outside. I had it fixed in my mind from that time forward that Kyron left by that door (as he was instructed to) and nobody seems to have been watching that spot. It wasn't "important" in that chaotic mass of people moving around and chattering. So, what if Terri told Kyron she would pick him up outside of that exit, for the "doctor" visit. She may have told him that he could just act normal, and he could pretend he was a CSI guy in his CST tee shirt, and he leaves when no one is near that area. Terri leaves, unnoticed, and drives the truck from the front of the school parking lot where she had first parked, over to the side door exit, and sits in the truck waiting for Kyron. I am still not convinced that she had babyK with her at the school. Pushing a child in a stroller in halls and rooms with people constantly moving about, can be time-consuming and makes one much more noticable. Terri could have been the person spotted sitting in the truck when it was assumed she was inside with Kyron. Perhaps that side door plays a huge role in this mystery.
IMO

I haven't had a chance to read every single post here and I admit I don't know everything about the case.

But I just saw this article, and it may be old news to some, but I see from this article that the 'Old Germantown Road' that LE is asking IF anyone saw Kaine's truck that day is the location where dd was SUPPOSED to be working.

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/08/kyron_horman_case_investigator.html

Spicher's employer and another person working at the 40-acre property on Northwest Old Germantown Road had told authorities that DeDe Spicher abruptly was gone on June 4 when the owners and other worker called her in for lunch that was being provided.

A reporter asked a similar question during the press conference. LE said "No comment."
