I hope it isn't and is not ruled drug related. Prayers and thoughts go out to her Mom and Daughter, as well as other loved ones...

Good seeing you all, again...too bad it's under these circumstances...peace, all.

She was addicted for a long time and it takes it's toll. Whatever the cause of death, at this point you 'd have to say it was "drug related".

Don't be afraid to take your meds. If you are not having any severe side effects, it is okay.

I have a feeling more played into WH's death than taking a xanax. We may not know about it for a few weeks, or maybe even a couple of years. I don't think it was just a few drinks and one pill at play here. There is something not being told, maybe not even being looked at. While it could be her major body organs had taken all they could due to previous drug abuse (crack, coke, marijuana, alcohol, and who knows what else), I think there is something going on. Lots of pills on purpose? Someone gave her bad pills on purpose? IDK.

Those pills making the daughter pass out raise my suspicions, so do the thuds heard, water running out of the tub. Lot more to it.

Lots of folks are addicted to prescription drugs and they do die from them. My son had a very nice friend addicted to Xanax. She took a handful at one time. Went to numerous DR to get her prescriptions and she also died a few months ago at about the same age as WH. The Daughter is also probably addicted to these drugs and that is the cause of her "Hospital" visits. These people take an entire handful at one time just to get through the day. Their eyes look like WH did after that party so sad but I doubt anyone gave either of them anything. They took it themselves because they want too!
I do not see any conspiracy whatsoever just people addicted to drugs.

This crossed my mind immediately when I heard Bobbi had a panic attack... & I wondered why the degree of anxiety? Saddened inconsolable but not anxious.
Unless she was panicked over something related to mom's death or something LE may discover of Bobbi's in her mom's room that could get her in serious trouble. I think it'd because the PD seized mom's pills and she no longer had access to them? IF she was dependent on "nerve pills" (whatever the name)
and was faced with the fact that she was high and dry on the pill front
combined with her mother's death I can see her losing it!

Bobbi has already been to rehab at her tender age and it looks like she may have already relapsed.

I am not bad mouthing her... it had just dawned on me.

I don't know - I find a hard time believing she would eat a hamburger, fries, a turkey sandwhich and jalapenos, along with a heiniken.

I've read that she gets nervous before an event.

Who eats that kind of meal before trying to fit into a gown for a grammy party? Someone who may have been nervous.

Personally, I think the food was for multiple people - possibly a bodyguard. I guess the Turkey sandwich was found in the bathroom - but who knows how much of it she ate. The beer remained in the other room (with the champagne).

Like Michael, Amy, Anna Nicole -- I think we all know what the tox results are going to show. And the autopsy report (if released) will show what was in her stomach (food-wise).

Blessings to WH!

Mel

That's what I thought, that it was too much food for one person. What woman eats a hamburger, fries AND a turkey sandwich with jalapenos, in addition to beer and champagne? Had to be for more than one person.

Pictures from 2010 after Whitney went through rehab (I guess) showed her to really be overweight for the first time ever. Then the next pictures you see, she was thin again. Did she go into hiding (possibly back to cocaine) and lose the weight before being seen again in public? I don't see a series of pictures with her being overweight and then gradually losing the weight, just thin, then fat, then thin again. At her death she was at probably the most normal weight ever.

I do think it's sad that people criticized her for doing drugs, and then when she stopped using drugs and gained weight, they made fun of her for being overweight. Better overweight than addicted to crack.

If you look at the TMZ food photos you can see a 2nd table with a plate, napkin, and a soda can, and the other photo of the sandwich/tea in the bathroom. There was more than one person eating, I don't know why they reported it like that. That makes 3 plates in the pictures. ETA: The can that is called Heinekin (sp?) looks like a Diet Mountain Dew to me.

I just read the transcript of the Diane Sawyer 2002 interview. It was sad to read, and very contradictory btw. That was when people said she was too thin, she probably gained weight to get people off her back. Then lost for the same reason, then gained for the same reason. So glad I don't have a life in the public eye.

I can see how Xanax (and maybe another drug) and alcohol could kill her. A neighbor of mine drank alcohol and took OxyContin, laid down to take a nap and never woke up. You are never supposed to drink with substances like that that suppress the autonomic nervous system (which controls things like breathing) because the alcohol enhances the effect of the drug. Whitney may have taken more than just Xanax, or taken several Xanax. Or her heart could have just been (probably was) enlarged/weak from crack/cocaine that it didn't take much to cause a rhythm disturbance.

Just heard some neat trivia on the radio. WH recorded the Star Spangled Banner weeks before the Super Bowl and was lip syncing it. I thought that was neat, also made me feel a bit sad b/c it would seem it was too much pressure to get it just right. It was great anyway.

For someone with such a great voice at that time , I wonder why she just did remakes of other peoples hits? Why did she never do a song totally her own? really weird huh!

I've always wondered about stars that don't write their own music while becoming famous. It has to mess with their heads. Elvis, Madonna, Donna Summer, just 3 off the top of my head. I realize someone has to give them a break, but Elvis, Madonna, Donna Summer, and Whitney were completely crafted, including their image. (Although Madonna broke away, just to lose her popularity.) I guess they wonder where does their own person begin and end. IDK.

the most troubling part on this one for me is that whitney had what others didn't.....she had clive davis. not only did he discover her, but he remained her mentor for 30+ years through thick and thin. he was supporting her towards the end, too. his belief in her absolutely did not wane and i feel he truly loved her like a daughter. because of that, and because clive davis is one of the most respected, powerful men in the music business, i just don't get why, of all people, did not stop enabling her.

Clive is also Bobbi Kristina's godfather but I doubt he saw Whitney very much and I would look to those closer to her as the enablers (entourage).

I think after awhile family & friends get tired of the charade & have to live their lives without constantly checking on a grown woman. It's exhausting. Addicts will suck the energy and soul right out of a person & eventually, it becomes rather easy to just let them go about their business so you can go about yours. Sometimes you might suspect or even know deep down that they're using again but you're so worn down by that point that you ignore it.

Discussing foods WH ate the day of her death reminded me of something potentially very dangerous, possibly even lethal which I was told a few years ago by my mother's dr when she was placed on vallium to calm her nerves after discovering she had a temporal lobe brain tumor. The dr said not to let her drink or ingest grapefruit or grapefruit juice as it interacted w/vallium. See links below. This made me wonder how many dr's actually share this info with patients when prescribing it to patients...It is probably not applicable at all in this case, but it brings up the question of how many other common foods or food products actually can cause severe, even lethal interactions with meds which we don't know about until it's too late?

http://www.drugs.com/forum/drug-information/interactions-between-grapefruit-medications-26917.html

"* Valium (diazepam): Grapefruit juice can cause you to feel sedated and might make it harder for you to control your muscular movements; driving can be dangerous".

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070723071437AAg6VJ1

"You need to avoid eating grapefruit and/or its juice because it doesn't necessarily counteract your drug but has a tendency to increase the amount of certain medications (Valium included) in your bloodstream. It interrupts enzymes that normally metabolizes drugs in your digestive system. Not only can it increase the level of Valium introduced in your bloodstream but it can increase the risk of serious side effects."

[bbm]

there's never been any confirmation that Bobbi Kristina went to rehab
in fact, she went on twitter to deny it

yes, I realize addicts lie ...

I don't think she's relapsing ... I just think she's understandably freaking out - unfortunately, the people who were around her mother are still around her and they think that pills & booze are the answer to grief

Jane Velez-Mitchell is covering Whitney Houston this hour, and I believe that the HLN evening lineup will be all about Whitney (Nancy Grace next, then Dr, Drew).

Even though the Cornoner has not yet released a cause of death, media speculation is running rampant about possible drug and/or alcohol abuse having lead to Ms. Houston's demise. Frankly, I am shocked and saddened that the media can't focus on Whitney's talent and her illustrious career at this time. Thoughts and prayers for those who loved Whitney and want to remember everything that was good about her. jmo

My heart goes out to her daughter especially, poor baby. Sending condolences to her family and all of her friends. Will miss your beautiful voice Whitney.

Rest in Peace. :rose:

I truly believe with all my heart that WH was a stone heroin addict and spent years trying to call her addiction anything else but. Coke, Pot anything but the plain fact...which has such a stigma attached that she knew she would be ruined if the total truth came out.

I would not be suprised to learn that she was on methadone and other maintenance drugs.

I think it was hidden in every possible way..but the look of Whitney is unmistakable.

JUNK.
HEROIN
SMACK

all of this totally explains her hoarse voice and innability to sing the night before.

I just heard on JVM that she was asking people...help me....the night before.

I think she snorted heroin and died in the tub, I think the scene was sanititized and I am sticking to my story.

poor woman...no one helped her.

And I think she was deeply ashamed of being a common heroin doper, hence all the lying.
