According to our sources, Brown was invited, plus two, but instead showed up with an entourage of nine people. We're told Bobby became upset when he found out they would not seat his whole party.

Our sources say Bobby wanted to sit with his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, but Whitney's family was not having it.

We're told Rev. Jesse Jackson tried to smooth things over ... but to no avail.

I hope the family wasn't bickering just to be doing so, today was not the day. It does sound like 9 people were an excess, but they could have made other arrangements, at least for Bobbi Kristina's sake. Got to say in the previous photo linked, some of them looked like thugs. That could have been the problem, iykwim

With all respect, he KNEW when he went in there that his place was NOT with Whitney's family and his daughter did NOT need to have him at her side in THAT moment. This was about Whitney and WHITNEY's family. BB is NOT Whitney's family, Whitney herself, I feel VERY sure, would NOT have wanted him there, up front, claiming undue focus and attention. It would have been disrespectful in the EXTREME.

In life, his controlling EGREGIOUS behaviors toward Whitney are a HUGE contributor to Whitney's heartbreak and toppling her off-center. This unnecessary public display of control and manipulation was abhorrent. IMO, his actions were NOT for the purpose of comforting ANYONE, they were for the purpose of dominating and drawing attention to HIMSELF for his own base purposes. Thank GOD there were people who rescued the integrity of Whitney's final service.

For those who haven't been to church in years or maybe never...what you saw today is what church is all about....Church today is church done different for the most part...it's not stale and it's most certainly not boring. If you haven't been in a while or if you've never been in your life, you really need to go and see for yourself that there really is something there for you.

The service was beautifully orchestrated and everyone who spoke or sang simply shone.

Magnificent experience, to be able to attend via TV.

R.I.P.

Peace to family & friends

Not directed at you 21merc7, just going off of your post here... But for Bobbi Kristina's sake, BB should have graciously sat wherever he and his allowed number of guests were directed to sit instead of creating drama around himself. JMO~

I agree, although from what I am reading his guests were not on the invited list. FGS, can't people put their differences aside for one day.

CeCe's song , "Don't Cry For Me", already on you tube. AWESOME!!!

haven't caught up but....

rev. jesse jackson said that bobby brown went in and to the front where family was to be seated, and was asked to leave bc ''they could not accommodate him.'' also, he said he felt they should have accommodated him and that it was the uncomfortable moment of the day.

the ''entourage'' consisted of bobby brown's current wife, and his children.....aka bobbi kristina's siblings.

in other words, it was b kristina's family members, albeit only those on her father's side, who were asked to leave.

i generally don't agree with jesse jackson on account of i did a thesis on him in grad school. it always sucks when you learn to much about somebody. that said.....in my opinion, he was SPOT ON. and one final note......he specifically said that bobby brown could not have been more respectful of both whitney and his daughter and that his pain was all over his face.

al sharpton just echoed that sentiment. he probably got a load of how much of an idiot he looked like, not abiding by the request to shut down phones and then having the lack of decency to actually tweet during the middle of the service. what a twit.

It is truly unfortunate that BB couldn't respect the request to come and only bring 2 people. A funeral is NO PLACE to disregard the family's requests.

As for BB's children being BC's half-siblings, we really do not know what kind of close personal relationship they have with one another. I feel fairly sure that she could have had them there if she had wanted. Her mother's funeral is not a time to subject her to yet MORE stress, so if that relationship was NOT close and comforting, then BAD IDEA to force them on her just for their few minutes of fame in the cameras.

Good etiquette AND common decency would say that her father, step-mother, and half-siblings should privately offer support and make themselves AVAILABLE should BC want to call on them for comfort, and then stay quietly out of the way of Whitney's close family and friends. But for some people, personal needs trump common decency.

I'd say its Whitney's family's prerogative.

Thank you! She did that song proud.

I thought that CeCe's radiance was a source of comfort...what a lovely smile.

I guess I am showing my age but I have always associated that song with Dolly Parton, she wrote and recorded that song first. It was one of her most popular best selling records. I have never considered it to be WH song or associated it with her, Must be my age and the fact that I am a country music fan .

Dolly Parton got it from Beethoven!

:please:

The comments about the hamburger thing mentioned by CD kind of went over my head. I know the reports said she had a hamburger and another sandwich delivered to her room before she died.

Is there suspicion that CD was with Whitney before she died?

Oh sorry! I wasn't clear. I meant Brown's people could have made other arrangements. They could have sat elsewhere or went somewhere else for a while.Brown and one or two could have been there for Bobbi Kristina. No need for a family scene, just compromise. Ask some people to go hang out at a restaurant, go shopping, go to a hotel or something. It was rude to bring that many.

I really don't like that he left just b/c I think he should have stayed with his daughter. No idea what happened, it's just a shame.

BBM: Mom, I only wish that were the case. I was raised Roman Catholic and still practice but the churches in my city are just about as exciting as going to a laundry- mat. So very unfortunate as many young people are just not interested.

We do have a few Baptist churches, but have never attended.:innocent:

Soledad O'Brian just reported that it was Aretha Franklin's leg that is giving her difficulties. She also said that she thought that they were going to bring Aretha to the service via video the way that Dion started to introduce her.

Wow, I was watching the funeral service ad the final shots of her coffin and the song "I will always love you" was really just the saddest thing. It just brought home the finality of it all and i really do feel badly for her family. i hope Whitney is at peace now and understands that her flaws as a human were the things that not something to be ashamed of and hidden but something that simply made her human, just like the rest of the world.

I hope Bobbi Kristina can get the help she needs to get thru this and rid herself of any problems with drugs. This would be the best tribute to her mom.

The most beautiful service. I wept through most it, but when they hoisted the casket with her singing, I completely lost it. Cissy with her strength and grace made it special for Whitney. May they all embrace Bobbi-Kristina and keep her focused and safe. Just beautiful.

Beautiful beyond belief! Whitney's service will have a HUGE impact for a long time to come. God bless those who brought this to the world and God speed Whitney to her heavenly bliss.

You know, when you step back and look at this, Whitney did realise her
dream. She came up from a child to become a Superstar who will be
remembered for her special talents. Her name and her personal music will
be remembered and live on, long after the names of most others are long
gone. That is a rare accomplishment. No one will remember Bobby or Clive
except as footnotes in some written tome. Whitney's music is a living
testimonial and may not die for a very long time - this is the stuff of
legends. Her personal testimony rose above almost everyone else in
her area of life. That in itself is priceless and a true legacy.

The woman is going to be remembered and kept alive -

Pierce Morgan just confirmed that BB did in fact walk out, the cameras caught it. He went up to her casket, he did have others with him, they tried to calm him down, there was an exchange between him and the family and he left.

ETA: Jesse Jackson just said that he felt Bobby Brown should have been better accommodated as he was Whitney's ex husband and is Bobbi Kristina's father.

pierce didn't confirm that. he said that's what he had heard. big difference.
