Who Is Caylee's Biological Father?

That website listed doesn't explain lots of things and honestly, you'd need a full course in genetics to understand it all - I've even had that full class and then many others and I don't always understand it. Genes are complicated little buggers with so many tricks!

But the more complicated/less simplified version of eye color genetics is:

There are 3 known genetic loci (genes) that control eye color. How all 3 of these interact is what determined what color the eyes will be. For example, albinism...albinos may technically have the genes for brown hair, brown skin, brown eyes, but another gene "turns off" the genes to make those pigments...no pigment is made and the person appears "albino". See what I mean about various genes controlling one trait?

On to hazel...technically, they do not know what causes hazel eye color...but the 2 main genes that control eye color operate on a spectrum...light blue to dark brown. Green and hazel are in between on the spectrum, so they suspect it is inherited on a sort of sliding scale. I don't know that this is how eye color works (nor do the experts), but it is possible that it is something like height...

Mom is of shorter than average height. Her genes would look something like this...

TTTTTttttttttttttttt

Dad is of average height.

TTTTTTTTTTtttttttttt

Offspring would inherit 10 of the Ts from mom and 10 Ts from dad. Any 10.

So, one offspring could get all short ts from mom. tttttttttt And all short ts from dad. tttttttttt

So, offspring could be really, really short. tttttttttttttttttttt

The next offspring could be really tall. TTTTTtttttTTTTTTTTTT.

Now, that is really oversimplifying as well, but eyecolor most likely works this way as well. It all depends on the combinations received...and then on the accessory genes that could override that information.

thank you for your explanation-i appreciate it!!! :)

I'm curious as to why this question remains at the forefront. If testing proved Caylee's biological father was a family member, would KC be any more or less responsible for the baby's fate? I've been wrestling with that question and would love to hear other's views.

The question is at the forefront, because there is potentially a man out there who does not know he is the father of a young girl. The tragedy in that is that he will never know the joy the girl could bring. If it is found that Caylee is the child borne of incest, then "everyone will understand" why Casey did what she had to do.

My theory (do a search, I haven't been shy about it!) is that the defense team will say that Casey acted in a last ditch attempt to spare Caylee her own fate. That was a summed up version. Casey is still responsible, because she acted willingly. The best the defense can hope for is to attempt to make Casey at least in some part, a sympathetic defendant.

That's another problem with the idea that KC was forced into incest, with Caylee as a result.

She was a grown-up when Caylee was conceived.

And, based on family interactions (cursing out GA, admitted stealing from LA) I can't see the males of the family KC to do ANYTHING.

It appears that that home is a matriarchy.

I don't think so, no matter HOW I look at it.

MOO.

I can't imagine that Lee is the father either.

He is 25 although with his salt and pepper hair he looks at least 35.

When my babies were born I saw so much of their dad in them, and as they get older I see more of myself. I remember reading somewhere that this is natures way of ensuring a bond between baby and daddy.
So I've been looking at some of Caylees baby pics....
Heres a collage that I'm guessing CA made.
collagebabypicscaylee.jpg
ETA-This is taken from a utube clip of the interview with Holly

And check this out...
LOLCApool.jpg
ETA- This is from the greta interview. Maybe LP saw this and thats what made him suss about the relationship between Kc and LA.A pic of caylee in Kc's arms in between two pics of lee and KC as kids.

Is it me or are these collages kinda creepy?

Not really. The only picture in those collages that has a creep-factor to me is the one of Cindy all splayed out on the air mattress in the pool...seems like a really wierd picture to put in a collage like that.

I think that a jury would find the idea that GA or LA could "coerce" KC hard to buy.;-)

It creeps me out picturing CA cutting up all those pics!!!(Maybe its because my sister who has a mental illness obsessively makes collages like this.)
And yeah, that one of GA and CA in the pool is just 'icky'.

Hehe.

I don't think the collage is creepy; it's just too redundant for my taste and not super artistic (but maybe I'm biased). It looks like CA's taste and not Casey's taste!

I would like to know if there is a psychological aspect pertaining to the fact that all of the family pictured are pictured as adults (except Lee). We know she had other pics of both her and Lee as adults. I just find that strange. Could it be a remembrance of "happier, innocent times between them"?

With respect to all the WS'ers various opinions, I have a few points to make.

respectfully snipped "would lead to 4 years of lying and secrets??..." from LetsThink

1. I do not believe there was any kind of incest going on. KC had access to enough able bodied males, and IMO, LA is not hiding anything by not providing his DNA. Since the car was formerly his, his DNA (hair, skin) would likely be all over the car anyway. I stand by my former statements, that KC could go on the Maury Povich show with 20 different men, trying to prove one of them is Caylees daddy. I honestly think she didn't have a clue who the daddy was, and was too scared to admit to CA that she had slept with so many men that she didn't know the daddy. KC, imo, is not the victim, but the victimizer.... as shown by the wake of victims left in her past.

again, snipped from LetsThink "WHY, may be a clue in all this madness....what would be bad enough to cause a pretty young teen 1/2 credit short, quit school and miss her Prom?
Why did her parents allow her to make such a mistake concerning her future?... "

2. Again, with all respect to other WS'ers, how many of you were ever an irresponsible teenage mother? I had my son at the age of 17, and while I had plenty of help from my parents, I still found that my son "got in the way". I was also like KC, perfect grades, good student, 1 credit shy of graduating with my class. I quit with 4 weeks left of school, knowing that I would never walk the line with my class. I AM IN NO WAY commiserating/relating with KC, I am only stating that sometimes when you are a young mother, partying is more important than a baby, espcially when you have parents to take care of the baby for you. There doesn't need to be a mtigating circumstance to make KC quit school other than school got in the way of being with older guys, or she knew that CA and GA would take care of Caylee whether or not KC got her degree. Nothing "that bad" in her life made her quit school, like me, she was out for a good time, and school had now gotten in the way. I was 18, and though my parents begged and pleaded with me to finish school, I wasn't going back.

Rmember, KC is the master manipulator here. She has had everyone wrapped around her stories and lies for so long, no one knows fact from fiction anymore. I think she learned at an early age, as the princess of the Anthony family, how to manipulate to get her way. When CA and GA finally told her to grow up, take care of your baby, get your own place to live, we are sick of supporting you speech, she freaked out with a big old "what do I do now???" I've been there, done that. I sucked it up and took care of my kid, stopped partying, got a good job, etc. KC, imo, didn't want "La bella vida" to ever end. I 'grew up' and have lived the beautiful live with my son, I only wish KC had done the same.

I'm curious, does anyone know if the A's and KC's friends and cohorts have sat down and tried to sift through the 20 odd years of bs from this little "felon-in-waiting"?

Boy, I'll tell ya what, I'd pay for the Pay Per View to sit and watch that. I'm really surprised that no one has spoken of KC being brought to the Hospital for Panic Attacks. Living a complete fabrication every day of your life has got to take a psychological toll on one's wellbeing.

That might be a bit if a stretch. It looks to me like it's all the people who live in that house, and it's mostly women, children and dogs.

That's an enabled sociopath for you. They don't really love. They don't feel guilty or shame. They only feel self-interest.

I agree, it started in childhood. But, nobody knows the etiology of sociopathy.

MOO

I think he was born in 11/82. so 26 next month. Maybe someone can confirm that. I took it off what I think are his traffic tickets lol.
I am sure his birthdate is on his witness statement if you want to look in the docs.
