Who Is Caylee's Biological Father?

I would offer the reason their is no name on the bc is because it was a one nighter, met another in the meantime, told him she was his, and 10 months later he did not believe her for whatever reason and had her tested to prove it. Respectfully, there is zero evidence pointing to her brother as Caylee's father.

Yeah, you're right Blink. I thought this whole thread was speculation, thanks for respectfully straightening me out. So, where did you find the evidence on the DNA test you mentioned that was given 10 months or later?

Actually, I was just musing over Caylee's name. I can see naming your child after a favorite relative, but it was the combination of her name and his that struck me. Since Cindy was the first to hold Caylee maybe she named her as well... that was tongue in cheek, Blink :blowkiss:

I agree with you MyGirl Sadie. Caylee does look like Cindy. And IMO Casey would take any amount of money available to her.

And Blink:
To establish paternity for survivor benefits his name would only have to have been on the birth certificate. There is a special rule that states benefits may be paid to children if the parent has worked for 1.5 years in the past 36 months. If a parent is under 24 they need only 3 work credits to qualify for benefits. So, it is possible that the purported father could have worked enough for benefits to kick in. If he wasn't on the BC, then you are correct they would have to establish paternity some other way.

I thought the same thing..it's just my opinion but Jesus wouldn't give a person like Casey the time of day.

I do not believe that Jesus is Caylee's father. The article linked contained a lot of information to suggest that he was smart, educated and popular. I don't think Casey would have held any allure for him. He's a head and shoulders above her, socially.

I would say you are assuming alot considering they were teenagers at the time. Obviously this is just my opinion but Casey (not that I like to say anything nice about her) was quite attractive, they have mutual friends on their myspaces and Casey has a I heart Jesus Ortiz in her pics..
Not suggesting they were in a relationship, just that he fathered baby Caylee possibly.

Thank you for the info in general, but I am aware of the "how to", I just know for a fact that Jesus name is NOT on Caylee's birth certificate. Hence why I have stated paternity would need to be established prior to that attempt at collection of his benefits.

LOL, point taken beadcat; it definately is speculation I guess for anyone but Casey (and then maybe even her..) I am just sensitive because of Tricia's warning last week. The DNA test info actually came directly from Jesse Grund's Father, Rev. Grund.

Blink, I just joined yesterday and know nothing of Tricia's warning. It was my first post in any kind of forum, so I was over-sensitive also. I have tried to read back and catch up on the posts, but the amount of info you guys have on here is amazing! Much better than the news shows.

I don't really know what it matters about the birth father at this point, but it is just another mystery with this weird family. Could knowing help provide any clues? Maybe, maybe not, but that little face just haunts you and you so much want her to be found soon!

I'm guessing Caylee is likely the result of a casual sexual encounter. It's possible Casey didn't want anything else to do with him (one good reason not to name him on the birth certificate.) Or she had multiple partners and isn't sure who the father is. (another good reason)

In any case- it seems the cops are satisfied with whatever she told them about Caylee's paternity, as they don't seem concerned about his involvement.

I think it's Jesse Grund. Either he's a father, or he's one of the very rare specimen of men who will engage in/continue a relationship with a woman who just had a baby by another man.

Not knocking men here...but Jesse is young, steeped in the cultlike religion stuff that his father espouses, and I just can't see him being so close to Casey for so long--almost the go-to guy for her--unless he has a connection to her: a baby.

I was just wondering if anyone thought it strange that Caylee was apparently named after CAseY and LEE, her brother???

And does Casey seem the type who wouldn't put the father's name on a birth certificate? I think she either doesn't know who the father was OR that the father was someone close to her that she couldn't name. I just don't think that she would pass up an opportunity for child support since she obviously is opposed to getting a full time job unless there was a really good reason.

Didn't Lee live at the house also until this past Jan?

Had not even considered a "House of Yes" type relationship there. Ugggh.

DNA tests have excluded Jesse per his Father, Rev. Gund

I had missed that. I don't know that the Rev is a trustworthy source, though.

Thanks for the info.

LOL, understatement and I do agree.

I've not seen anyone consider Morales as Caylee's father....do we know when he & Casey first met?

I'd like to see a pic of him and Caylee side by side...I think you maybe on to something.

In looking at Jesse's fathers myspace I dont know if I would trust anything that he says. If he said a DNA test was taken I would love to say prove it to all of us. I still think that Jesse is the biological father, or why would he still be in contact with an ex-fiance that he said was a habitual liar? I know if my ex-fiance was a liar and a horrible person I wouldnt want anything to do with that person. Why remain friends with a person like that?

Food for thought..

Because he had grown to love Caylee.

Jesse's family must have been thrilled last night when attorney Walsh said Jesse had "emotional problems" that was the reason he was dismissed from the police force. He said this on Dan Abrams & it was said in response to the host pointing to Jesse's statement to police that Casey is a habitual liar.

I worked for the Social Security Administration for many years and I have literally established paternity on hundreds of children after the wage earner was deceased. We were supposed to approach the problem with a desire to pay the child. After all, it wasn't the child's fault that it was illegitimate. That's the government's position. We called them 216(h)(3) children because that's the section of the law that allows payment.

First, you have to find written acknowledgment and you have to stretch this definition. If the deceased wage earner ever claimed the child on his taxes - even if he never named her, just the number of dependents. If he ever sent her a birthday card and signed it Daddy. If he ever wrote his sister and told her that somebody was pregnant by him. He wouldn't have had to mention the name. You see, you can find written acknowledgment in a number of ways.

BUT, in order to even get this far you would have to have the father's social security number. To get this you would need ALL of these things:
Name at birth
Date of birth
Place of birth
Mother's maiden name

If you don't have all of those things, forget it. You will never find out the number from the Social Security Administration. All 4 things have to match, period. So, whatever, I doubt that Casey would have known anybody's mother's maiden name.

Hi All :) I was thinking about being able to rule out potential fathers based on genetics mainly eye color as Caylee does not have Casey's eye color. I responded to a post in the general thread but this thread is more appropriate. Is there a post already or has it been outlined as to the eye color of each potential father? I have skimmed and did not see one but I have had a migraine all day so I really could not read each and every post right now. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!!
