Who molested/abused Jonbenet?

The story first came out in 2006 or 2007 from an email Michael Tracey sent to Lou Smit and Ollie Gray.

"Several years back one of my students told me a really interesting story. Susan Rajabi was Miss Colorado in 1996. She was also a student in the School of Journalism. She was in a class where one of the assignments was to write a profile of someone. She asked if she could do one about me. When Miss Colorado who was also a contestant in the Miss America contest asks if she can talk to you one does tend to say yes. So we talked, and much of it was about my having done the first documentary etc etc. She told me a really interesting story.

She had been a judge at one of the pageants that JonBenet was involved in in 1996. After the judging, which JonBenet won, Susan noticed a guy with whom JonBenet seemed to be very friendly. She assumed it was JonBenet's father and went over, shook hands and said "you must be very proud of your daughter." He replies "yes I am."

After the murder, Susan was home watching the news with her dad. John Ramsey's photo came up on the screen, identified as JonBenet's father. She turns to her dad and says, "that's not the guy i met at the pageant with JonBenet." I pressed her on it and she was adamant that it wasn't even close.

I was going to mention that it’s odd that Tracey never featured this in any of his documentaries; however, since the Aphrodite Jones documentary was essentially a Michael Tracey production, I suppose he finally got around to it through his puppet.

Of course, it would never occur to the brilliantly stupid Tracey, Smit, or Ollie, nevermind a "beauty pageant queen" who obviously had Tracey eating out of her hand, that maybe the "father" at the pageant actually HAD a daughter in the competition and thought the young judge was speaking of HER instead of JonBenet.

It's just unbelievable that Team Ramsey has gotten so many Ramsey shills on board, hunting a non-existent intruder, with just these kinds of faux-clue delivered by "beauty queens."

I can hear Patsy Ramsey cackling.

I don't recall reading anywhere that brown paper bag fibers were on jonbenet's body. Was this in kolar's book?

There is a lot of misconception about this. JB had brown paper bags on her hands, which is standard procedure when removing a body from a crime scene. So of course, there would be brown paper bag fibers on her body.

There was also talk of there being brown paper bag fibers in her BED, and talk of a brown paper bag in JAR's room that had a thick coiled rope in it. A rope of this type was seen in a modeling photo of JB, shown wearing pigtails and a country-style outfit, the rope by her legs.

There was also a little-known interview that Patsy gave to a magazine or paper around the time of the "Colorado Christmas" house tour, which was a few years before JB's death. They had just moved to Boulder, and Patsy wanted to "Wow" people with her fabulous house and status as a former "Miss America Pageant" contestant. She had her "Miss West Virginia" gown, tiara and sash displayed on a bed for the tour. In that interview, she talked about having a decorated Christmas tree in nearly every room, including bedrooms, and she stated that the tree in JAR's room (adjacent to JB's room) had a cowboy theme, with ornaments of little cowboy boots and saddles, etc, and lasso rope (like that thick coiled hemp rope) used as garland.

The strangling cord seemed to be new since the ends were used and touch dna probably from packaging or the store. It could have been in the paper bag with the hemp rope and placed on jonbenet's bed while grabbing the blanket .

She didn't say the rope was hemp. She is it was "like" hemp or at least that's the way I took it.

Not a sailor. Never been one. Thrown out of the Girl Scouts for rowdy behavior. Hate camping (bugs, dirt, no tile in the bathrooms, etc). So to me a thick brown rope is a rope by ANY name. Hemp, manila, whatever. I hope no one tried to smoke it if it wasn't hemp....

I started reading through this thread at the beginning a few days ago but never made it all the way through - not yet anyway. A year or so ago, there was a debate pages back about which came first - asphyxiation or blunt-force trauma to the head. Those claiming asphyxiation came first also brought up how she had been washed down or cleaned (which has been mentioned elsewhere). I do believe she was cleaned up before the 911 call.

I have always thought the head trauma came first and here's something else to think about in that regard: it would be very hard to move her around and especially clean her/wash her off with the garrotte in place. Seems like it would come undone, etc. Also, considering how loose the other bindings were, I think they would have fallen off.

Just doesn't seem likely that the asphyxiation was first. I think the blunt force trauma happened elsewhere, she was cleaned up, then taken the basement for staging.

In Kolar's book he stated that he also believed the head blow came first, as do most of the investigators and forensic specialist who have studied it.
