I hope this thread doesn't get shut down before my question is answered but I have been wondering WHO in the A family got the $200,000 "licensing fee". Cindy physically took the video of Caylee on Father's day. Did Cindy record all of the videos in this "deal"? If so, does that make her the owner/author/proprioter/ RECEIPIENT of monies? If some of the videos in this licensing deal where recorded by someone else, say KC, does she have a share of the fee?

Was the video from the nursing home released by the A's or by LE?

I'm new to posting here. but I figured I would give input. I can assume that People magazine paid for photos as well as article..I don't know who the money would go to. Pictures if taken by Casey or on her computer, I would assume the money would go to her. If thats the case, I hope Zenedia wins her case and any money case gets will be paid in restitution to Zenedia. At least someone outside the family would receive profit.

I think it's obvious that the A's have received some money, out of necessity. They were unable to work and had to pay the bills somehow. I see nothing wrong with them doing what they needed to do to keep their home. People wanted to see the photos, the Anthony's wanted people to see the photos, and the media wanted to buy them.

Nancy Grace show 1/6/09:

GRACE: OK, Drew, you`re referring to a time earlier in the case, as you generically referred to it, be specific. What do you mean? Earlier in the case, photos were sold. Money was made. What happened?

PETRIMOULX: It`s kind of shaky on who actually received the money. There had been reports that the Baez -- the Baez defense team did receive six-figure payments for videos and pictures that were sold to a national TV network, and then shown on TV.

They can`t -- we haven`t been able to prove that this money was received or paid for but we do know that the images and video were seen on national TV.

Nancy Grace 1/7/09:

GRACE: To Natisha Lance, I`m taking a look at how much money`s already been made off little Caylee. ABC News allegedly pays $200,000 to licensed home video. $200,000. Baez allegedly intended to sell an interview with the tot mom for $500,000. Half a million dollars.

NBC News allegedly paid $5,000 for photo licensing.

What does that mean? Photo licensing, what is that?

NATISHA LANCE, NANCY GRACE PRODUCER: That`s right, Nancy. And don`t forget also there is Larry Garrison who is the Anthony spokes person who is paid $6500 from NBC as well for licensing photos. But basically.

GRACE: Now wait a minute, are these photo licensing fees in conjunction with an interview with anybody?

LANCE: Well, they don`t necessarily have to be in conjunction with the interview.

GRACE: Well, were they? That`s what I`m asking you. When they interviewed someone related to the case is that when they paid the licensing fee for the photo?

LANCE: Well, the ABC one, allegedly, that one was with "20/20." There was nobody from the family who is interviewed. Jose Baez was interviewed in that one.

With NBC, there were some interviews that took place with Cindy Anthony, George Anthony along the way. But we don`t know, for sure, if these photos came along with the packaged deal with the interview.

"shaky" and "can't prove" are not very good links LOL.

Why weren't they unable to work? :waitasec: Other people would've had to go back to work. I guess they're still not able to work. Sure people wanted to see the pictures and videos, but that doesn't mean they had to take a dime for them. I think it's wrong, wrong, wrong to make money to pay their bills from pictures of their "missing" granddaughter. Most people would simply want to get pictures of their missing loved one out in the media, without thinking of the money. IMO.

It's the best I got, JBean. There is no definite information about who was paid or how much they received.

I'm sure even if they wanted to work their employers would not appreciate the throngs of media and 'interested' members of the public accompanying them. What a shame it would have been if missing Caylee had been found alive and had no home to come back to.

Hey Chilly Willy-Hi! Love (most) of your posts/thoughts....Assuming this video was released by LE. Isn't that why there is no link to the video in it's entirety. And if there is a link to the whole start to finish thing, can you provide it? I've always speculated that after Caylee asks Poppa about being tired, she made have said something "alarming" about "going to sleep".

I agree, when my father was murdered last year, I had to keep going. Would I have liked to been able to take time off to gieve? YES but life keeps going and the bulls keep coming. Tragedy does not keep anyone from being ABLE to work. That is a personal choice one makes

Thanks, Ripley :blushing: I've never seen the entire video from start to finish, just snippets.

Possibly but there is always other jobs. I just don't feel it's a legitimate excuse not to work.

George did continue to work. As far as I know he still may be.

That is kind of my point. There is a tendency to post things as though they are fact and then it is carried all over the forum. then when someone is questioned later, they say, we talked about that in a thread early on and it was all true.

if you guys want to speculate about who may have been paid, feel free to give it a whirl.

My caution is about stating something as fact because "Nancy Grace said so"

Posters fight about what is and isn't fact all the time, IMO we have a responsibility to fact check when we state something as being such.

I agree. Sure, this case is different because of the intense media exposure, but they could've worked somewhere. I don't think they are working now, still. If my loved one was "missing," I wouldn't have taken a dime for pictures or videos. I think it's completely disrespectful and sickening.
