I had not looked into the books...A juror wrote a book..????

UPDATE...according to the reader reviews on Amazon, this book seems not to be written by one of the Pinellas 12 but by someone who watched the trial and is speculating on what it would have been like to be on the jury.....

http://book.4kindle.us/buy/anthony-caylee-precious-jurors-ebook-QjAwNUNKQ0RIVw!!.html

"In this book, Casey Anthony Caylee Anthony Sweet Precious Baby Girl From A Juror's Point Of View, you might be able to find out what Casey Anthony was doing for the 31 days Caylee Anthony was missing and what on earth made her do and say the things she said."

IMO, We don't need this book, from the juror, to know what OCA was doing during those 31 days and what made her do and say the things she said...we have all the Discovery docs here on WS...

I just found a book about this case written by Keith Ablow...didn't know that either...

The only book I am interested in reading is Ashton's book...:twocents:

From what I remember, Keith Ablow's book was the first one out after the verdict - just a couple of days. Inside the mind of.....from the couple of pages I read it was complete rubbish.....

I would suggest that this e-book is not from a real juror - just someone who is slanting it with clever words like "point of view" and rushed it out with content that anyone could get online. Its was published in July - which is a big tell right there.

bbm
Agreed, not written by one of the Pinellas 12

thanks...

Maybe it is because books from shrinks who haven't even had a conversation with her make me nuts with their "theories" that have as much strength to them as ....cobwebs....just a money grab IMO - even "Dr. Drew" wasn't impressed with his theories and we know how wishy washy he is....

I was on the Barnes and Noble site and there are 3 other books written about the Anthony case that I had not heard of before, all under $7.00

Next stop: The 2-for-1 bin at Dollar Tree! I suspect that will be the last stop on the gravy train for all Anthony-related books, except Jeff Ashton's. I can't afford to buy his, but I'm one of the first on the waiting list at my local public library. I admire him so much; really want to read what he has to say.

Oh, sorry guys!!!! The way it read it sounded like it came from a juror! I didn't mean to mislead anyone! I guess I should have checked more into before posting it here!

Guess pre-sales aren't what he expected.

Former prosecutor to make library appearance

The following Monday, Nov. 21, Ashton will do a public question-and-answer and book signing at the Orlando Public Library downtown. That event is set for 6 p.m. at the 101 East Central Blvd. location.

The several hundred page book is finished, according to Sharyn Rosenblum with William Morrow. She added that Ashton "really wants to be public about this." He is expected to do other appearances to promote the book.

Jeff Ashton's Casey Anthony book on sale Nov. 15, earlier reports had the Ashton book going on sale Nov. 29

I thought we heard the truth May to July 2011.

Huh? Because he's going to a library? (?!) I bet pre-sales are healthy, and that he ends up with a best seller, as much as that might cause some to gnash their teethies.

JA seems determined to do what he can to tell the public what he knows about OCA and Caylee's death. Maybe he thinks he can help keep OCA from killing again by making the whole story as public as he can. Bravo JA.

What I don't doubt is that in the next few months the miniscule number of peeps who think OCA is innocent are going to be downright rabid in their personal attacks on JA (I see lots of little fistees), and are going to do their utmost to discredit his book. How predictable it will all be , and how... OCA-ish.

JMO.

I dunno Miss James - I'd say by the numbers Jeff was shocked and amazed by the pre-sales....in a good way I mean....

Yes, and when we see those shockingly high sales numbers, everyone and I mean everyone will say (paraphrasing) "now that makes sense, now I understand"....

I thought we heard the truth May to July 2011.

The way it works is,much of what the Prosecution discovered couldn't come out in court because it made Casey look really ,really bad. It's the truth ,but since it makes Casey look so horrible ,it might give the jury a clue to just how low she could go and prejudice them.

Like stealing from her grandparents nursing home fund,Amy , and from her mom.
During a sidebar (the one in which the DT and HHJP call the OS a THEORY) LDB pointed out to HH that if JB opened a door with info he wanted to come in ,she would be able to bring in the hundreds and hundreds of checks Casey stole and used ,from Cindy.
That would make Cindy look bad ,too ,since she lied about that in her depo, but it makes Casey look like a very self-centered uncaring human being.

There's even more tidbits about the behind-the-scenes actions of the defense team. JB came to at least 2 agreements with JA about issues, then reniged on the agreement once in court.
That's the type of TRUTH I want to come out.
We already know the DT lies ,smears and uses ruses to avoid the truth .
As if Casey needed her chair lowered until the desk top was at shoulder level.
And trying to use a middle school picture of Casey and her imaginary friends.
Why did JB have to stoop to tricks if Casey was innocent? :dunno:

The TRUTH from JA will be a dose of Justice ,IMO.

Thanks for asking :blowkiss:

Oh. :waitasec: ....WOW! :woohoo: I always wondered about that expression and what it meant!!! NOW I understand......

I know that and YOU know that, but ............:innocent:

I even understand why he is doing his book signing in a library - he's a "for the people" kind of a guy rather than being an entrepreneur kind of guy...so I'm sure he's more comfortable meeting people for his book release in a public entity where anyone would feel comfortable coming....

Just a side note.....

Book Signings are a big "get" for Libraries. Libraries struggle to get folks in the door and to keep those doors open.

One of my good friends is a board member for our main library. An event like this affords fundraising opportunities for things such as VIP seating, pre event meet and greets, food and beverage, parking etc....

Libraries BEG for authors to come in, yet are usually sidestepped in favor of the book stores that are affiliated with the Publisher.

I see the Library event as a real strategic marketing move and a way to stay connected to the community. Ever notice the Library is always on the bus route?

Makes sense on a couple of levels - as you note above, big get for the library, but also a good PR/Marketing/"Branding" move. JA was prosecutor for OC - a public servant if you will - as much as we like to title our selves as "owners" of this story, it was the people of OC and Orlando in particular that shouldered the load, both personally and financially. It's a good "giving back" to the community and brings the information into the hands of the people vs the buyers.

Secondly, logistics - it's a good venue- large enough, security can be better addressed (yes, it will be necessary cuz of the cuckoo birds, uh, oh hi, joy) and will provide better access for media.

Nicely played.

The little blurb that I read in the daily news thread kinda made me sad. I hope JA knows there were/are a lot of folks out here that never lost sight of Caylee. The jury may have, but millions of people know exactly what happened. I, for one, will never forget Caylee.

Guess pre-sales aren't what he expected.
That's an awful big assumption, dontcha think? Mary Higgens Clark is a local by me and she's always showing up in places in this neck of the woods to do book signings. It's called being involved and giving back to your community. JMO
