I'm thinking that Desiree let something slip that she was not supposed to let out there and LE was angry. She was trembling and very upset. It could be this topic of being stashed somewhere or something else. JMO

My impression is that she's having a harder and harder time talking herself into believing Kyron is still alive. She's talking the talk but, increasingly, she's not walking the walk.

I'm not accusing her of lying. I think she's in a very bad place and her mind is probably playing all kinds of tricks on her to allow her to continue to function from day to day. Out of all the parents, she is the one who strikes me as most genuine, as the one who is holding the least secrets.

I'm not saying that I think KH or TY are holding onto bad secrets! But I think they are trying to cover a few things up for good purposes, such as to aid the investigation, and it shows in their behaviour.

Private conversation between DY and TY must be incredibly fraught because I don't get the impression he really believes Kyron is alive. He seems like a nice guy and he's probably trying to walk a fine line between supporting his wife and trying to let her down as gently as possible.

I'm also wondering if DY is getting more and more angry with KH. The recent discrepancy in their stories about how their marriage broke up, for instance, got covered up quickly... in KH's favour. My impression is that DY has been swallowing a lot of (perceived) slights over the years and now, with Kyron's disappearance, there's not much holding them down any more. She's agreeing with KH for now but I doubt that will last forever.

And I will go way, way out on a limb and predict that if DY lets go, the most surprised person will be KH. I don't think he really gets how his behaviour impacts others.

Desiree has said all along that she thinks Kyron is alive; LE is not going to take this little bit of hope away from her until they have no choice or until it suits the prosecution to begin referring to Kyron as deceased so as to go ahead with murder charges.

In the case of Carrie Culbertson in Ohio some years back, LE had to work very hard to get her mother to finally agree to testify that she felt her daughter was dead in order to charge murder without her body; she was hanging onto a thread of hope as well. LE did get a conviction and Carrie has still never been found.

And in the Johnny Gosch case, his mother appears to believe she has met with the adult Johnny. She even went into court and testified to it under oath.

I have followed that case for years and watched her getting further and further away from consensus reality.

I'm not a psychological expert but I wonder if constructing this whole elaborate scenario is safer for her psychologically than having to admit he's probably been dead for over 25 years.

Part of me wishes that I could just hug her and make it all better for her... I wish I was still young enough to believe it.

I can see where DY would have to believe that Kyron is still alive. I would probably be the same way, to a certain point. It may be all of the sleuthing we do here, but I just can't have those happy thoughts anymore.

Said that to say this: what if TH did hand him off to an underground group? If she had a story that was convincing enough for them to take him and run, she may not be able to get him back now. She may not know where he is or how to get in touch with the group. It very well could have been DD that helped with the arrangements. I really have no idea what is involved with these groups, but I do know they go to extremes to keep children hidden if they believe the child is in danger (and from what I've read, they won't even tell LE where the child is). MOO

Retired cop Jenson, of PDX, says it is very unlikely that TH would have help in abducting and stashing Kyron. TH has been struggling in her statements lately.

Mel, I so agree with you. I think I could never, ever give up hope unless/until there was definitive proof that I should stop hoping. And in the grand scheme of things, it hasn't been so long since Kyron disappeared -- definitely not long enough that I'd expect her to lose hope, even in the face of odds not being in her favor.

I'm not optimistic either, but like you said, what else does she have right now except faith and hope? Miracles do happen; sometimes children return. I hope and pray with all my heart that this is one of those cases. rayer:

Yes, there is always hope!! Just today LE thinks they found Mitrice Richardson in Las Vegas. She's been gone for over a year now. LE is holding a presser on that case tomorrow. So that bit of sunshine does give me hope in this case.

Miracles do happen. They happen everyday. I do not believe anyone should ever give up hope. This case is so wierd and so hard to wrap my head around that I believe anything and everything is possible. I was reading all the stuff about the issues in the divorce and literally just stopped and said a prayer for KH. KH is who matters right now.
