Who would "stash" Kyron for Terri...

Yes. Every one of them has a perp in custody.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear...I meant during the time when they were missing before they were kind of "come upon" were there viable suspects? I thought most of them just kind of turned up because of other situations that came up, not through LE finding them through investigation...But this is just a vague memory of the stories from a person whose memory seems to be pretty close to non-existent these days!

Way ot, but is Canada better at treating kidney disease than the US. Just wondering.

I can see where DY would have to believe that Kyron is still alive. I would probably be the same way, to a certain point. It may be all of the sleuthing we do here, but I just can't have those happy thoughts anymore.

Said that to say this: what if TH did hand him off to an underground group? If she had a story that was convincing enough for them to take him and run, she may not be able to get him back now. She may not know where he is or how to get in touch with the group. It very well could have been DD that helped with the arrangements. I really have no idea what is involved with these groups, but I do know they go to extremes to keep children hidden if they believe the child is in danger (and from what I've read, they won't even tell LE where the child is). MOO

How do I find out more about these underground groups? I have never heard of them before?

Actually, you are right about that. LE didn't find them through their investigation. They were found by chance by other people. It pays to be informed and keep your eyes open!

ETA: Actually, Shawn Hornbeck was found by accident when LE was investigating the kidnapping of the second boy Devlin took. Shawn was the bonus find.

Something about the way that all of this is worded that sounds so code-like, does anyone agree?

I don't think they have any reason to think this other than the obvious fact that if it is not the case, Kyron is not alive. That would be enough for most parents. Haleigh's mom still refuses to believe Haleigh is dead because she has never been found in 18 months. I hope this family does not have that ahead of them, not ever knowing. Because I don't think they will ever find Haleigh.

I so very much agree with your post on all points you stated. Its been almost unbearable to watch Haleighs loved ones still cling to "hope" for her to return, when even LE has evidently got some sort of proof thats caused them to release that Haleigh is believed deceased. I so very much pray that d&ty do not have a similar future with not finding kyron...
I too believe with all my heart that there is nothing left of little Haleigh to be found. Because who ever killed Haleigh IMO did dispose of her in the St. Johns river thats alligator infested. However as small and as little as it may be I do still hold out hope that justice will somehow someway still be served on her behalf...

I'm not going with the "stashed" but I do believe that Terri handed him off to a "network"

I think this case will fall just like Haleigh Cummings... There is a network out there..We know it exist...but somehow when a child comes up missing, we all turn a blind eye.. we say, NO.. can't be that...to far fetched... but it's there... Everyone say the LE are holding things close to their vest...yea,, I'll bet... Two mayors around Portland have been brought up on child sex charges... Hello. people... I'm not turning a blind eye no more... Portland had a meeting about 2-3 weeks ago about trafficing kids... WTH
Geeze.. I lived in Toledo, Ohio my entire life, and can't ever recall a town/city meeting over human trafficing.... never...

I realize that most posters do not believe that Kyron may be alive... I believe he is, and have felt that way from day one...and until there is any proof otherwise, I will continue to feel this way... At times it sickens me to read that people speak of Kyron being murdered... I ask..why do you say such a thing...??? I think that speaks ill of Kyron... and I'm not in any fantasy land hoping that.. flat out... there is nothing even close to give me such a negative thought..!!! I believe that Terri is 100% behind Kyron's disapearance..!! but, I refuse to go as far as to say he is DEAD...!!
I was telling my parents how I was following the Kyron Horman case. They gave me a look of confusion.. and still did after I tried to explain the case.. They are avid news followers and hadn't heard of it...!! Sometimes, I think we forget that the general public is not as clued into the case as much as we are... The only sources we really hear from is HLN, and the Oregon news... other than blogs... Just saying that it is not impossible to hide Kyron.... :(

If anyone believing that Kyron is DEAD... please let me know WHY you think that.. other than statistics.. or "the simplest answer theory." I can think of may cases where the child has resurfaced..... and I have a feeling it will happen here too...!!!

I think it's more than just statistics, but the simplest answer does come into effect. I think doubling the reward money might partially be an attempt to flesh out that answer. If someone is holding him, expecting or awaiting some sort of payment perhaps, maybe LE and the family have just upped the ante. If they double it again and nobody comes forward, would you then be more inclined to assume the worst?

The reason people assume the worst is that as impossible to fathom this entire case is, it's even more difficult to believe that someone else who was involved from the beginning would be willing to stay involved at this point. Anyone with the cojones to avoid having blinked first thus far would probably also have the cojones for negative-outcome disposal, if nothing else but to save their own skin.

I get what you a saying, but I don't think that Terri even knows where Kyron is at this point... I'm even more curious how she managed to come up with $350,000 for her lawyer... $300,000 more than the reward..

I, too, have hopes that Kyron is alive. Terri may be a lot of things but I just can't wrap my head around the idea that she took this boy that she raised from almost the beginning and killed him in cold blood. I think if she had he would have been found by now. I think she just wanted to be rid of him. There is no evidence that he isn't alive. This situation, more then any other I have seen, feels like there is a surprise around every corner, a new shocker. I would not be surprised if this will turn out to be one of those shockers. I don't know where he is and yes, it would almost make more sense if she killed him but I think she found someone willing to take him and raise him. Look at the loyalty she has seemed to summon. One friend sat in front of a grand jury for her and refused to say a thing. She seems to have a group of loyal friends who may feel that they are helping a child instead of hurting him.
I don't know how this will end of if Kyron will ever be found but I tend to think he will be. Something is going to break. I don't know if the raising of the reward money was to shake someone loose but I believe that if Kyron is alive then other people know about it and the more people that are involved in a crime the more likely that someone will talk. It also reminds me of the Sharon Matthews case in the UK. I wish this would end already but we may be in for a bumpier ride. Also, the $350,000.00 she paid the attorney with, I think it came from some kind of media deal. She may very well be aware of the money that has been made in missing children cases but she may be realizing that she stands to make a lot in book, movie, interview deals. I have a feeling the shocking news isn't over by a long shot.

YOu said exactlywhat I feel.

The LE are calling this a "criminal investigation."" not a "homicide investigation." That is why I'm not willing to take the leap that Kyron is dead...

I thought too , up until last week it was a hand off, but not anymore, they have pretty much looked into Terris friends, and still no Kyron, I believe he left this earth on June 4th, I believe Terri was doing more than driving a fussy baby around on them back roads that day....someone, someday will find him, quite by accident JMO

The child inside of me believes Kyron is very much alive. I cannot look into his mother's eyes and see anything beyond her son being returned to her arms. So I pray with you in earnest that you are right and that Kyron comes home. Let there be a miracle for our little frog lovin' boy.

Where are you angel?

My gut tells me he's dead, and has been since that morning he disappeared.

If she wasn't prepared to "DIY" murder Kaine, I can't imagine she'd DIY a child's murder - especially one she had raised for 5 years. I am much more inclined to think that she wants to raise Kyron herself, and has him stashed somewhere (perhaps even outside the country) with plans to join him (and whoever is with him) with the baby once things settle down. (Unless the police are holding back a lot of info, I don't think they have enough to convict her.)

If Kyron loved his stepmother, it's possible that he may willingly be going along with the plan, especially if it's being presented as "an adventure".
