Re: Robert William Hope

At the time you quote as the date of death of Robert William Holt I was the Executinve Office and Chief Investigator for the office of Medical Examiner, Harris County, Houston, Texas. I can't possible remember this death as during my tenure I investigated or supervised the investigation of over 10,000 homicides.

I do have a suggestion: contact the office of Medical Examiner in Houston cite the name and date of death of Hope. From this you should find the results of the autopsy, the date thereof, the rewport of the ME Investigator and the complaint number under which the case is filed in office of the Homicide Divison , Houston Police Department. From the Police Department you should be able to get a report covering all the events of the case.

Welcome Dr. Wingo!!

Hello.. My name is Stephanie.. I am a married 43 year YOUNG mother of 2.... I'm new to WS.. I stumbled onto this site by googling the name of a high school friend who was murdered 25 years ago. And her case is still unsolved. (( The Tammy Little Murder in Portsmouth NH )) I live in Greer, SC and am a tax accountant in the construction industry. I love all the Law & Order and CSI shows..

Hi everyone,
My name is Mandy. I have a husband, and two teenaged sons (one of my own and his best friend, whom I've adopted). I also have five cats (Bear, Rowley, Chubs, Smokes & Charley).

I became interested in true crime when my good friend Trina disapeared in 1991, and I found out about the then-unsolved Green River murders. I began volunteering for The Doe Network in 2001, and became an Area Director in 2002.

In 2003, I went into DoeNet's Administration, where I was the Potential Match Coordinator (and sometimes other things). I left the Doe Network in 2006 for personal reasons, but continued working in this area on my own. Earlier this year, I started my own web site for unidentified persons, and have started one just especially for Canadian cases, which I feel have not had the publicity they need.

In real life, I work in call centers and design web pages, but for now I am at home with the children, which gives me time to work on my sites.

Hello everybody My name is Teresa I am 50 years old and the mother of 4 grown children and also have a 2 year old grandson. My husband died 21 years ago of lung cancer. I am from Nebraska but travel to New Jersey often. I help adopted people find their birth mothers or other family members. I also work part time for a Private Investigator in Nebraska and Iowa.

Hi all, I have been on Websleuths for quite a while but only registered and began posting in the last couple of years. I don't remember what originally led me to the site but I remember reading faithfully about the Laci Peterson case. I also live very close to where Many Tussing was killed and the murder never solved. I live in Northeast Arkansas and am a 43 year old mother of 3 (23, 17, & 8 years) and have been married to my sometimes wonderful husband (LOL) for 24 years. I work in local government. My passion is reading and I don't have time to do enough of it. I read almost all of Websleuths but the cases I am passionate about are Anna Christian Waters, Sharon Marshall, and the Sodder family. I love reading about the very old unsolved cases. Everyone here is curteous and helpful and I am glad to have found the site.

After posting here for the last several years, I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Lauran and I am the foster sister of Jean Marie Stewart, missing since March 25 1980 from Miami Lakes. My search for Jean has led me many places, including the founding of Porchlight for the Missing and Unidentified http://z10.invisionfree.com/usedtobedoe/index.php?act=idx and many satellite message boards. This is a great group! and so proud to be a member!

Kathy 1956: Re: Robert Holt.. I responded to this query several months ago. Last night I saw the case anew. I cannot be certain of that which follows but thougt I would offer a thought.

In the Kingwood area I recall the finding of a decedent in the vicinity of Bush International. This inividual was assassinated and his body left as was found. I do not recall the identification that was made but I do vividly recall he was a student at Phoenix university. There is other information that would provide no help to you.

Should you find this information near your need please address me at [email protected]. I do not often come to this site.

Cecil

Hi--
Very new here, and just wanted to say hello. My name is Dave, I'm 35, and I live and work in Chicago. I'm a lawyer and work in criminal appeals for the State of IL, so I'm in contact with a lot of cases, old and new, and would love to help out in anyway possible. I'm not technically a law eforcement officer (I'm way too removed from the original crime, and only get to look at paper records), but, through my job, have made many friends who are good contacts throughout Illinois and am more than willing to pester them for information. I'm interested in the cold cases that occurred in the 1970's - 1980's, when I was growing up. I have 2 daughters (2 & 4) and the cases involving unresolved child abductions during that era really disturb me the most. I look forward to learning more about this site and helping out with ideas, when and if possible.
Dave

My name is Anna. (I actually have five names. No joke!) My father is a gypsy from Spain (think flamenco, Gypsy Kings, etc), hence, my screen name Gitana1. I love the culture. Not married, no kids just kitties. I am an attorney out here in California doing primarily family law, especially child custody cases. It's hard, ugly work but I'm passionate and dedicated. I found this site in 2004, I think. I was looking for more info on the Suzanne Davis case after reading a book about her. Her story really drew me in. I became interested in the prevention of crimes against children when I was a teenager after a child disappeared in my state and was never found. It traumatized me. I am ridiculously busy with my work, parents, siblings, etc, so it is hard for me to sleuth. I post very little and usually just read the threads to take a break or at night, to get updates on cases that intrigue me. I am so amazed by the ingenuity, hard work and intelligence of the posters on this site. They are so dedicated and creative in their approach to solving crime. I think that the pressure from, and work of web sleuthers here has made a huge difference in the speed at which crimes are solved, in helping crimes to not become forgotten and in giving ideas to LE. It's incredible!!!

Hi, my name is Barbie, living in South Texas. I've lurked around here for quite a while, and not posted much. Recently started posting in a couple of threads and actually started a thread in Unidentified for baby Beloved Doe in Houston.

I've been married to the most wonderful man in the world for near 28 years, we have 1 biological son turning 14 in 2 weeks and 6 foster children, all siblings that have lived with us for many years and range in age from 24-35. They have given us 13 beautiful grandkid with #14 on the way.

My passion is child advocacy, and with my health problems now, I can't be as active as I was, such as in foster parenting. I somehow found this website and felt I might be able to make a contribution to the missing and unidentified and it would be rewarding work. Even a tiny contribution that leads to a successful conclusion of reuniting loved ones would make me feel I had accomplished something.

The WS group always works together so well and has some of the best ideas on how to find answers. I'm really looking forward to being a contributing member of the group. I'm home on disability now, so I have lots of time to give. Ya'll holla at me if ya need something !!

Hi Everyone

I've been a long time lurker, and I've just recently registered, so I thought it was about time I stopped in and said hello.

I first stumbled across Websleuths while doing some research on the connection between the disappearance of Keith Call and Cassandra Hailey, and the Colonial Parkway killer. I ended up a regular lurker when I started following the threads for The Springfield Three, Tara Calico, and most recently Brian Shaffer and Kyle Fleischmann.

My "adopted" MP, though, is Michael Adams, who disappeared from Abilene, Texas in 1987. http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/a/adams_michael.html

For some reason, when I read Michael's story, it really connected with me, and of all the cases I've been interested but inactive in, this is the one that got me motivated to put my sleuthing skills to work. What I've found - my sleuthing skills are rusty. But improving. Using some of the ideas that I've gotten from just cruising through the various threads, I've been able to track down a couple of people that knew Michael personally. I thought the best place to start was to try to determine what was going on around Michael at the time of his disappearance. I'm hoping that will take me to the next natural step.

I was happy to find the Websleuths community because my family doesn't seem to "get" the interest that I have in any of the MP cases, let alone Michael's (I usually just get a blank, disinterested stare) :) . Here, though, everyone seems to have an interest in multiple cases, and have also "adopted" a particular MP of their own. Since there hadn't been one before, I was thinking about starting a topic on Michael, but I chose to lurk for a while before posting so that I could get familiar with the community guidelines here first.

Thanks for letting me introduce myself and for reading. I hope to get to know everyone over time.

Hi All
I am from Sunny South Africa.I'm married with 2 children.I have 2 parrots and a dog.
I have been intrigued with murder cases since I was 14-16 when my mom used to buy True detective mags!
I was worried that I was a nutcase because I am always reading and watching murder cases and cold case files and watch all the CSI shows!
Now that I see there are so many other peope intrigued by crime, I am not that worried anymore and see that it's quite normal..
I have followed most of SA's famous cases and sometimes find that my predictions or "hunches" are true!!

I hope to get to know some of the community on this forum..
I have also followed the Jon Benet case as well as OJ and Susan Smith..Laci Peterson and little James Bulgar!
I am shocked at the number of missing people in the world..are there so many murderers out there and what drives a person to murder!!

Ok I'm rambling...it's time to read..nice to meet you all.!!

Hi, I am Nancy, stay at home mother to 3, and a Star Wars geek.

I have been reading WS for about 3 months and I finally registered so I could join your wonderful community.

It is the case of America's Unknown Child, a.k.a. The Boy in the Box that has haunted me for years and brings me here.

Like Flyboy posted, I too, am often met with disinterest when I discuss my case or that of any other missing or unidentified person. It's really nice to be here, among like-minded people.

Hi, my name is Judie. I've been interested in crime since I first read Helter Skelter in junior high school. I remember many hours spent reading microfish (does that still exist) in the school library. I found WS when, for some reason, I remembered the picture of the boy and girl who were tied up in a van, which was found in a parking lot. I think the girl was "Carrie" who was never found and the boy was found?!? I think? Which led me to Where's Johnny? Then I was hooked. I'm married for seven years, have a 24 year old son. I'm a neurologic assistant and medical transcriptionist, so I work at home three days a week. I have three dogs, a cat and a ferret. I enjoy gardening, reading (mostly crime, LOVE Ann Rule, she even sent me an email once, which I saved!) and spending time on WS. I lurk mostly because I read so darn many stories here I get confused. Love you guys. The utmost of respect to your abilities, compassion and ability to get along!

Hello, I am new to web sleuths. I somewhat stumbled upon the site, and have been browsing ever since. I live just north of Atlanta, and I am currently working in the IT industry. I recently decided to go back to school to do my MBA. In my free time enjoy working around the house, spending time with my girlfriend, and looking for the next venture in my life. Anyway nice to meet everyone.

Hello, I'm Shelli. I'm 21 years old and have been on websleuths for many years, but mostly lurk. I'm married and have a two year old son. I'm also starting college in July and I'm majoring in criminology. On the side of taking care of my son and the house, I enjoy sewing, reading, cooking, and shopping. I love shopping from The Vermont Country Store and The Gooseberry Patch.

My name is Annie and I run the For the Lost site - http://www.forthelost.org - which is a smaller missing persons site that tries to offer some original content. We have a section of main case files, one for closed but unsolved cases, one for family abductions (which is bigger than all the other sections combined) and one for missing persons posters for cases that aren't on the sites that offer them.

Hi, I'm a newbie here although I've been reading for several months. I found websleuths while searching for a man from Montgomery County, MD who's picture has haunted me since I was a kid. I've been trying to put the mental image to rest by finding out who this man was and his story.

I've managed to find out quite a bit about him, but I'm still searching for an early photo to make sure he is the person whose image imprinted itself in my brain so many years ago. (I didn't save the newspaper article/picture, so I won't know until I'm able to see a photo.)

The search for the missing Lyon sisters is specifically what brought me here (due to the location). Although there's no way "my" man was involved (since he was in prison at the time), the case is so very, very sad, and I keep following it hoping for resolution...

I made my first post yesterday in the cold case thread for three women who were murdered in Bethesda - again the location was the first thing that caught my attention.

I'm from Ohio>FL>NC and am a not currently working in the field social worker. I've not followed crime cases very closely - but the mental image of the man I mention above has haunted me on and off over the years. Why, I don't know... but it felt like it was time to address it...

Warm Regards ~b~
