Let's not be too harsh on the R's (cough, cough) - This was in DOI:
"To promote the book, we would have to appear publicly. We were not anxious to do so, and insisted this be as limited as possible........Knowledgeable people had told us this first interview (with Barbara Walters @ ABC) was worth millions of dollars to the networks. Unlike some of their other guests, we were never paid a penny."
Now, wasn't it noble of them to sacrifice their privacy for an unpaid public interview?
