Why does WS limit us from seeing our Reactions and Alerts?

I've never understood why a site dedicated to sleuthing, even having it in their name, doesn't let us see responses after a certain number of days.

I come to WS sometimes daily, sometimes monthly, or every few months. I check Alerts and Reactions and they only go back, what, a month or two?

So if anyone gets a response to anything they've posted, and they don't check regularly, they won't see it.

Is there some other place I'm not looking?

PS I put this question here because it said "Features." I couldn't find a place to ask questions about the site. Sorry if I missed it!

Never really thought about it but I just had a look at my Reactions and they go back years.

Thanks for answering, yes you're right it looks like the Reactions do, but not the Alerts where the responses/reply are held.

The Reactions do go back, pardon my error. But in the Alerts (where the replies are) there is nothing before three weeks ago.

At the bottom of alerts, you can click show all. You can also go to the top of the screen where your avatar is and click on it. Then click on reactions received.

I wonder why this doesn't show for me.

I can't see any replies prior to the last four or five.

"Reactions" page isn't replies, just symbols received. I can click "More" at bottom of page. No option to click "More" on the Alerts (replies) page.

Hi @rleigh123

If you click on your avatar, it tells you how many messages you’ve posted….click on the actual NUMBER shown & your posts will show.

There may be numerous pages going back & also a ‘view older messages button’.

I checked & mine goes back to 2014 which is approximately when I first posted after ‘lurking’ for quite some time.
