BR is such a wildcard in this. it wouldn't surprise me if he did it. it wouldn't surprise me if he had nothing to do with it and doesn't even know anything.

Tricky case, but son would have been taken out of the home and the R's couldn't bear the fallout. I think PR dreamed up the cover-up and JR dutifully went along with it. And is, to this day. JMO
strong possibility

certainly every time i read the part of the ransom note where they call themselves "a small foreign faction", i not only laugh, i get a strong housewife vibe. it never fails to remind me of my mom trying to talk about gi joe or something like that.

i like to imagine that, if RDI, JR privately gave PR a hard time about that choice of words. "next time we're covering up a murder, let ME write the fake ransom note."

I believe John was starting to figure it out that morning

Folks, for those saying PDI - for bedwetting

That only explains the blow to the head - and then the garrote and strangulation to cover it up,
IT DOES NOT EXPLAIN away the genital trauma from paintbrush.

I can't believe she would do that as part of staging. Just no. This in no way can be just PDI on that basis?
That genital trauma from the paintbrush handle - I believe was caused by Burke

Just heard the FBI state on tv they will always let it be known what they have uncovered. Sure they do. Just like in this case!

Dear FBI,

Check your pants! 🔥🔥🔥😂

I assume there's some stuff they can never share, in any case. and then stuff they hold back, in case there are ever charges.

in this case, what even was the FBI's involvement? it wasn't a kidnapping case for very long. iirc, they looked at the ransom note and said it was a bad forgery. maybe some of the phone record stuff?

It was Patsy's hand writing... so she was at least involved. I think it was 100% her

Indeed, the note, IMO, was Patsy's.

My bold.
No doubt, IMHO that Patsy wrote the note.

I am still stuck on the pineapple thing.

When the family got back home, Burke asked for some pineapple and his mom gave him a bowl on the kitchen counter area.
Then comes JonBenet and she tries to help herself with a piece of the pineapple from Burke's bowl. Burke pushed her away from his bowl -- much rougher than he meant to do.
JonBenet fell on the floor and her skull was badly cracked.
Hearing the argument and the noise, etc., the parents, or at least Patsy, came into the kitchen and saw a very bad situation.
Then, all heyell broke lose and then the situation began. IMHO.

You may be correct about the general scenario but, if Patsy served pineapple to Burke, it was most likely in the informal small dining room, called the Breakfast Room, where the bowl was found on the table. Also, pathologists agree that JBR’s head injury was caused by a blow to the head with a relatively narrow cylindrical object (Maglight, golf club, baseball bat, e.g.). Falling to the floor alone couldn’t have created the kind of force that caused her long, severe fracture.
