LOL which is why I said it takes time for it all to smooth out. In all reality WS is a crime forum and we discuss the most heinos acts of mankind. It stirs passion and at times hostility. When you are looking at the underbelly of humanity being sensitive or thin skinned is a definite disadvantage. This type of interest brings alot of people from many many walks of life. From victims to LE, stay at home moms to Lawyers and Reporters. It is amazing venue for people from all walks of life and locations all over the world to interact. But personalities will conflict, and whats written dosent always portray the meaning or emotion behind it. Misunderstanding and misinterpretations occur. Sometimes we type a post thinking it is brilliant and no one responds or we dont get the response we anticipated. It happens and the best thing is to move on and not let it bother you.

That would be me, happens all the time, but I just suck it up :blushing:

This is precisely the kind of thread we don't want at Websleuths.

Websleuths welcomes all POVs and that's why we get so many hits. Posts will be deleted if they contain personal attacks on other members regardless of the member's POV, but moderation is done with discretion, i.e. members are warned privately about unacceptable posts. Most deleted posts will go unnoticed by the majority.

For what it is worth - yes, Tricia believes in RDI, but several of her moderators do not. Fortunately, we're grown-ups and we can agree to disagree, so we all get along just fine.

Right now the forum is hectic and it's possible that the Mods might miss an offensive post. If anyone sees a post which offends them, report it, don't respond to it or start a new thread to whinge about it. The chances are that we'll agree with you and remove it.

Enough already. I'm locking this thread.

I would have moved on easily. This place really has no room for theorizing and ideas swapping. I can't even SEE through the posts sent out like missles to immediately silence anyone and anything that doesn't fit with the RDI crowd.

Fine - Tricia thinks they did it - so why even bother allowing anyone else? because you get bored agreeing with each other and pattig each other on the back so let in people who debate and discuss so we can bait and attack?


This is so outright exactly how it is - you are all absolutely humoring yourselves if you even attempt to say this isn't how it is. I'll admit there are a very few RDI's out there that allow a debate or theory without throwing a bunch of bad unproven statements around like arsonal - but very few.


You want us out - Just say so! And don't say - you can not reqad what you want - that's a cop-out for not moderating properly.

Sweetheart, Tricia wants all points of view on this and every other case we discuss at Websleuths. Not even all of us moderators agree that the Ramseys are guilty. If Tricia was so hell bent on stoping any discussion or theories that an intruder may have indeed killed JonBenet, don't you think she would only have moderators here that agreed with that theory. If you don't have the sand to back up your posts/theories, that's fine. But don't come here and say that those posters who do can't speak their minds.

i definately dont want to get shot in this BUT, i think hes right....it does need to be stated somewhere (probably the TOS) that you can bash ramseys but NOT other familys of victims. to the lay person thats quite confusing and if you dont read EVERY thread under JBR you wouldnt know thats the case. you would just watch everyone get to chew and hate and slaughter the ramsey family and you would think it was ok to take that to another case on WS. Im a fence rider too, mainly cause i would never want to believe a mother or father could do such at thing but i know it does happen. BUT, i think its a good idea to put it in the TOS that this is not a well balanced board, that you can get in trouble for bashing ANY other family but the ramseys. hes right it should be in big bold print where all can find it first thing and not just walk into a fist fight. i know in another case i post about here, the least lil bit happens and tybee is on em like stink on dog doo (good job tybee...lol) but i was greatly confused by the amount of hatred and personal attacks that are allowed here, its not the same on the rest of WS.

I'm not sure what your definition of "attack," is, but we voice strong opinions about families of other murder victims. Darlie Routier, Riley Fox, Ed Duncan, Marcus Fielsel, Mary Winkler, Pam Vitale, John Couey, even Michael Jackson and EVERY parent whose ever left their child in a hot car, inadequate daycare situation or had a boyfriend who abused their child, with or without their knowledge. I have a hard time when someone tries to use an absolute when it comes to these types of discussions. So, while you may be of the opinion that its okay to -- what was it you said??? "that you can get in trouble for bashing ANY other family but the ramseys" -- Perhaps until you've read every other post in every other forum on this site, you should try to not make generalizations that can't stand up to even the mildest scrutiny, ok?
