Well, I will never understand why the very people who rail against someone hurting another person want to hurt that person - and then to wish that someone else would do it for you is really beyond me.

I understand what you're saying but this is just a question of people blowing off steam.

I'm sure LE says the same thing about some criminals they encounter.

The IMPORTANT thing here is that there's a big difference between 'wishing' & DOING.

As long as people aren't taking actions OR looking the other way so somebody else can take action.... it's a 'healthy' way for people to vent.

This is so true and I think this situation is very sad. If CA had let KC get charged for her petty theft in the past prison might have scared her so much Caylee would still be alive. I don't think KC is relaxing in jail, losing your freedom is a pretty devastating thing in itself. I think the only thing keeping her calm is thinking she will be aquitted at trial, and get some minor sentence on the theft.

Well, LI Mom, I hope you're right. I don't see it that way, I think that there are some people who just don't get it, imo, it is thinking just like the person you despise for hurting someone - just my opinion.

Why not put Casey amongst the general population while she's in jail so that she can see what it's really going to be like for her?
IMO, sitting in a private cell with all the "luxuries" you need is not too much punishment...
maybe putting her amongst the others will show her what it's really like and possibly get her to talk??

What does everyone else think about this?

#1. Casey is probably the most hated prisoner in that jail. Child molesters and murderers usually are.

#2. If someone sticks a shive in Casey's liver and filets her, she will never stand trial for Caylee's murder, she will never face justice.

#3. If she dies, it will likely lead to an end to the investigation for Caylee. And that would be a shame.

So as much as we may not like her munching on candy while wearing a nice new sports bra, I am thankful the jail is doing all it can to keep her safe so she can face the judge and jury.

We're joking around here, but some kids fed one of my boys some ExLax brownies when he was just four years old. He ended up in the hospital, and while I hesitate to say he almost died, he sure did WISH he'd die.

Back to joking: A little ex-lax might get Casey talking. Tummy starts rumbling and the detective is standing there with a big bottle of imodium.....

Oh yeah...I've made some mistakes in my time. But NEVER killed one of my kids.

See, that's one of the problems this case still has. We still don't know if Caylee was murdered or died accidentally. I've made mistakes too, and by the Grace of God I haven't killed one of my children!

I think she should be in GP just so she has to put up with the others. That is one reason I hope she does not get the DP, so she will not have a private cell. I want her to mingle with the others and could care less what happens to her at this point. Yes I know, that sounds hateful, but I want her baby girl to be found.

There's no way they can do this. Being the case is not only high profile, but very sensitive, the prison would be liable. Prison may be full of criminals, but even they have standards. And close to the top are baby killers. They hate them and will hurt them.

That's not to say I wouldn't *absolutely* love to see her moved. It's just too risky. We need her alive for trial.

The Anthony's could sue for some big time money if Casey were in general population and was killed. She would not have been properly classified. The Anthony's could say that Casey was not properly protected. The 3 C's of any jail, detention center, or prison is Care, Custody, and Control of inmates. Before trial, it is OCSO that has to keep her safe because of being so high profile.

There will always be inmates in a prison - not just jail - that will want to kill and/or harm a child murderer, pedophile, and child abuser.

No, humans will never break the cycle. I see American culture as becoming coarser and coarser every day. More and more the crimetainment shows blast a suspect with one-sided info designed to titilate the public and make the entire audience believe innocence must be proven while guilt is an automatic assumption.

We continue to use the death penalty, even when HUNDREDS of people have been released from prison and even death row after being exonerated by DNA evidence: If that isn't a reason to really UP the requirements for death penalty, I don't know what is!

My hubby, who is from France (yeah, I know all about France! LOL, love it or hate it, that's where he's from!) and he calls our TV fare as a whole part of the "stupification of USA."

You are right. No one deserves to be harmed or killed. Caylee didn't deserve to be harmed, but the sad truth is, it happened. I agree with the poster who said we are just venting. Would I really want KC to be beaten to death? No, of course not. Most of us, unlike KC, are not that evil.

Whiile in custody, LE is mandated to protect her safety as much as possible. Unfortunately.

I agree, they'll NEVER gamble with her life BEFORE the trial... and I think once in prison she'll eventually have the choice whether she wants to be 'safe' in a protected cell block OR she'll be allowed to move into general population. Even Jeffrey Dahmer got to choose & she's surely entitled to have the same choices in life as Dahmer.

Two choices: virtual solitary or try to find some prisoner who will 'protect' her from the others. The will BE a or she'll be alone.

Oh and I'm sure the Hispanic prisoners will be REAL happy to meet the woman who tried to blame Caylee's disappearance on a Fernandez-Gonzales..... oh yeah! She's gonna be real popular with the ladies. lol

KC hasn't shown that she has issues with Hispanics. Which would give no lead that she chose the name as some sort of racist thing.

Where she lives, Hispanic names are just as common as any other name.
