Defense has called two (1st witness TN & 2nd witness is AP) witnesses - thus far, both are in finance. Painful to watch their line of questioning, imo. It's like watching paint dry. moo

I'm behind in watching today's testimony bc Dan Markel's case is in trial, too, but wanted to ask if you noticed Jessy has been wearing a gold cross necklace. Wonder if the Judge changed her mind about allowing Jessy the necklace, hair style and makeup ea morning. Who keeps the necklace when not in court?

AP appears upset while testifying. Even though he was a close friend of the victim, he got nothing bc Jessy stole it all. It must be very difficult to go through this kind of pain.
Wasn't she allowed to wear the necklace (though I thought it was pearls), but the judge nuked the idea of makeup and hair styling? IIRC the defense attorneys were to keep the necklace, though I think in jail you might be allowed to have an inobtrusive necklace with a cross? Many jails also have makeup on the commissary list and an inmate-run salon, so I don't think the judge was prohibiting either of those things, but just prohibiting a whole beauty treatment.

This is the gold cross I saw her wearing during her trial. Is the purpose to send a message to the Jury that she's a Christian because if that's why she's wearing it, she can forget fooling the Jury. I had no idea just how easily some people can lie until listening to this case. They'll commit fraud while acting as if they're making toast for breakfast. Dangerous Jessy looked madder, more angry, as each day passed and the evidence stacked against her, moo.

DAILY TRIAL UPDATES

DAY 14 – 11/10/23

  • The attorneys met with Judge Dorow on Friday to discuss jury instructions and review the verdict form.
  • Defense attorney Donna Kuchler asked the Court to include a lesser offense of assisted suicide, which Judge Durow denied, saying,”There is just no support […] that Ms. Kurczewski provided assistance with the intent that Lynn Hernan take her own life. On the contrary, there’s evidence that she did not believe that the Tetrahydrozoline would kill Mrs. Hernan.”
  • The jury will return to hear closing arguments Monday, Nov. 13 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
