WATCH LIVE: Eye Drop Murder Trial — Sentencing — WI v. Jessy Kurczewski​


The 39-year-old Wisconsin woman accused of poisoning her wealthy friend with eye drops faces trial for murder. Jessy Kurczewski allegedly dumped six bottles of Visine into Lynn Hernan’s water bottle and tried to stage her death as an overdose in 2018. Prosecutors also claim Kurczewski defrauded Hernan of nearly $300,000 before killing her. Judge Jennifer Dorow, who oversaw Darrell Brooks’ Waukesha parade massacre trial, is overseeing Kurczewski’s case.

Prosecutors say #JessyKurczewski wrote a letter to a friend asking her to fake a recording, pretending to be the victim. Jessy, from jail, says she didn't write the letter.

Prosecutor explains that a woman that had been in jail with #JessyKurczewski came home on Nov. 25 and someone had dropped off the envelope containing the letter. It was not delivered through postal service. She took the envelope containing the letter/documents to the sheriff's office.

INTERESTING! The envelope containing the letter was creased as if it had been folded in half at one point BUT the paperwork inside was not. Remember, #JessyKurczewski claims she did not write the letter.

Defense attorneys can be withdrawn. It's believed JK most likely wrote letter, but more investigation is needed. A new sentencing date will be scheduled at a later time. JK will get new defense counsels. To be continued.

Yes, but the envelope is folded, which means it might have been in something else.

This is mindblowing to watch...and this judge is fab: very methodical, and she could slice an atom, she's so precise with her language.

Presumably, an attorney will be assigned. Hopefully, if they pin the letter on JK, she's going to the SHU until sentencing.

I understood the letter was written on the back of some pages of attorney notes taken during the trial.

I'll bet JK is trying to frame her attorneys, because she couldn't get a not guilty verdict. Arias tried that, too.

Yes, imo, one of the best judges, thus far. Like how precise the judge is with her language. She did the right thing in court yesterday.

LOL it's in her handwriting, on the papers her attorneys used to take notes at the defense table.

I thought inmates weren't allowed pens? Did she steal one of those, too?
